Matti in Busay's Serenity Farm and Resort, Dined at their Cafe
On November 11, we headed to Serenity Farm and Resort located at Sitio Tiguib, Brgy. Malubog, Busay, Cebu City. I have heard a lot of things about it but wasn't very interested as I had been here in 2016 or was it 2015? It was for our company's Christmas party, we stayed there overnight. I could still remember how nice the mountain view was, we also spotted the fields of roses, the resort has a farm and it was a great welcoming view before reaching the house. There was a pool too which was nice.
But a lot of things had indeed changed! I was telling my husband that there's a rose farm but as we ascended to the resort, the farm had been replaced with the concrete road, restaurants, and other establishments. Oh boy, this was not the same Serenity Farm that I used to know!
There are now three houses, each has its pool, they are all available for rent. There's now Serenity Mountain Cafe, we had lunch here. Aside from that, there's also a Bamboo Park and Light Show, a Mini Golf course, Liel's Kitchen, and more. And there's even a hobbit house in the making!
Now I know why a lot of people are talking about Serenity Farm and Resort, in fact, one can stay here all day and not worry about where to dine and what to do because you'll have a lot of things in your hand! We came here to eat so we headed to Serenity Mountain Cafe.
I do believe that if we dine in here, we will be paying not just for the food but for the mountain view. The pricing is more on the expensive side. I had read some articles online about the cafe and I don't agree with them when they say the food is affordable. It is way higher than the normal pricing and I say it's understandable as you have to pay for the view as well.
The cafe is located at the top of the hill, the rest of the establishments can be found on the way up. This was not yet here the last time I have been to Serenity Farm.
Its design is industrial with its exposed steel, timber, and unfinished walls plus some rustic touch, this kind of interior design is common nowadays for huge spaces like these types of restaurants and cafes. There are a lot of plants too and a variety of furniture available for customers to choose from. It kind of reminded me of The Buzz.
But there's a Billiard table too and I learned they also have Sunday church service here! More photos below:
We ordered Creamy Chicken Wings, Pasta, and Tinolang Tangigue. I forgot to try their famous Buko pie, we didn't get any desserts too because we were already full, it's a good excuse to come back next time.
I found it interesting that their food is brought up to the restaurant through a tiny elevator. It was a noisy one and there is also construction going on as well. Only a few customers were around during our stay, most of the customers were bringing their kids with them too!
It's best to visit the farm at a later time of the day when the sun is about to set, I believe the skies would be dramatic and the golden hour will surely bring out the beauty of the mountain plus there's a spot in the cafe where one can have a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains, it is not recommended to go there at noon of course but on a sunset time, it would be a perfect chilling spot.
Have you been to the Serenity Farm and Resort?
