Today was another MyDefiPet day as we venture into the breeding of pets.
James, my husband, has been investing in this game. Last time, he bought a few eggs, today, he said he wanted to breed and so I gave him my go signal.
My husband had been studying breeding cockfighting chickens for a while, he had joined several seminars, watched many video tutorials and tips, and read a lot to gain information about breeding so he thought this knowledge can be applied to this game. Well, I told him breeding chickens are super different compared to breeding MDP and I chuckled but he just shrugged his shoulders and proceed with the process.
Did I mention before how cute breeding looks like? Well, actually, they don't show the actual breeding but when we give the go signal for breeding, that is to allow the system to take away 5 DPets for this breeding process, the pets, mother, and father join hands, or shall I say go together into the happy forest and it just looks cute! I don't know if it's just me or that there's something about it that is just making us giggle.
Notice that I had tried breeding before but I didn't get to see the pets go to the forest because I encountered some issues. But this time around, my husband said the process was smoother and that he had not received any error during the transaction.
Tygra and Winged Pupper
The first attempt included a Tygra as the mother and Winged pupper as the father.
There's no specific gender for these pets so anything can be used as mother or father.
Breeding evolved pets means, the egg can hatch to either of the parents and the egg will be able to attain some of the characteristics from either of the parents.
Evolved pets are good for breeding as they have good statistics compared to non-evolved ones.
It takes two minutes for the two to breed, quite fast, right? No damage, no recovery, or whatsoever is required after breeding so both pets can still continue generating silvers and even be sent to the battle with the World Boss. An explosion happened in the happy forest! This is a happy explosion though.
After just a while, the egg came into the incubator, tap, tap, tap to open the egg, and surprise! The result was a beautiful Tygra with those cute purple feet and ears. I like its pattern too!
Looking at the parents, it seemed like this one got the mother's feet, the horn from the father, but I am not sure how it got its color.
So, my husband said, he is certain indeed that the kind will be taken from the mother. So he will do another breeding.
Winged Pupper and Venom
His second was this winged upper again which was the father of the first pare, this time he used it as the mother and venom, both of them were evolved too. Take note:
Buying an egg involves 4 DPets, evolving a pet takes another 3 DPets and then breeding is 5 DPets and I told him, the results must be worth it. So, he decided to document each process.
He told me that the results if he'd guess would be a winged pupper, he was certain of it but I told him, maybe not.
And did I mention before that hatching an egg requires gas?
Yeah, most transactions require gas and it is just annoying that we have been playing this game for a while and all we did were pay gas fees.
We can't wait for the marketplace and the arena to be opened up so we can dispatch some pets and then earn soon with its play-to-earn feature. Today, the World Boss feature gives only a few token rewards but the developers mentioned that they are still adjusting the rewards and soon in the next season of the Boss Fight, they'll be giving more!
Now go back to the breeding...
To his dismay, the result showed a venom with not-so-good statistics. He was disappointed! He thought that the pet's kind would be taken from the mother but nope, I guess it is still randomly chosen.
On the other hand, I joined the Pet Holders Gratitude Giveaway hosted by MyDefiPet and showed off my Adonis which has reached its 20th level with the following statistics:
I have showed off this pet because it has a huge HP statistic compared to the rest of my pets and looking up on the entries posted by other holders, it seemed like only a few pets had reached this specific HP value.
There's nothing wrong in trying as this would give a total of $500 $DPET rewards:
