The use of information and technology has revolutionized people's lives. The new invention of information and technology has brought the mobile phone in the palm of the hand. Now people can communicate instantly in any part of the world. And 3G network has opened a new direction in the world of mobile phones. As a result, people are able to talk as well as see his pictures, taking high speed internet service. This third generation network or 3G has made communication easier. 3G has revolutionized the world of mobile phones.

3G key:

3G is an acronym for Third Generation. The third generation of wireless mobile network technology is called 3G for short. In a word, 3G is a third generation technology service. According to the International Telecommunication Organization (ITU), 3G is a 'mobile video call and mobile broadband internet transporter network.' It is called 3G or third generation mobile telecom network.

Origin of 3G or history of 3G

Japan was the first country in the world to successfully launch the first 3G in May 2001. In 1979, the first One G was launched in Japan. After the introduction of 2G technology in Finland in 1991, research and development on 3G networks began in 1992. In 1997, NTT DoCoMo, a Japanese company, started working on a 3G network. In 2001, they successfully launched 3G. Currently, Japan is the only country in the world where 100% 3G is available. Then in 2002 South Korea launched 3G. 3G technology services are currently available in 155 countries around the world.

Advantages of 3G:

The benefits of 3G or third generation mobile network are many. There are many more benefits here than on a normal network. For example, 3G technology can be used to make video calls on mobile phones, watch television, and get high speed internet services. Services like e-commerce, e-banking, e-learning, e-health, e-governance and teleconference are also available on this third generation mobile network i.e. 3G.

The difference between 3G network and 2G network

There is a lot of difference between 2G or 2nd generation network facilities or 3G or 3rd generation technology. For example, in terms of data flow, 163 kilobytes of data can be exchanged per second in 2G. On the other hand, up to 40 megabytes per second can be exchanged in 3G. Not only voice calls can be made on 2G network, but advanced voice calls as well as video calls and video conferencing can be made in 3G.

In terms of security, the security of 3G network information exchange is stronger than 2G. Besides, in 2G technology, television cannot be seen on mobile. Television can be seen on mobile in 3G technology. Pathfinder GPS is only possible in 3G. Again many applications of all modern smartphones do not run without 3G.

3G in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is the third country among the 6 SAARC countries after Sri Lanka and India to launch 3G technology services. It was launched on 14 October 2012 by Teletalk, the state mobile operator of Bangladesh. Then on September 6, 2013, 4 more mobile operators were allowed to launch 3G. And these mobile operator companies are Grameenphone, Robi, Banglalink and Airtel. At present, the popularity of 3G network has increased in Bangladesh. There are about 90 million mobile phone subscribers in Bangladesh. And the mobile operator companies are working to provide better service and third generation network to these customers.

Features of 3G technology:

The third generation network i.e. 3G has many features. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has mentioned 6 features of 3G technology. These are-
(1) Compatibility

(2) Flexibility

(3) Affordability

(4) Modular design

(5) High data

(6) and security

Forge has arrived

In 2001, LTE (Long Term Evolution) was launched in several countries It has been recognized as a Forge technology network. If it is launched, it will revolutionize the world of mobile networks. As a result, the speed of the Internet will increase many times. Here data can be exchanged at speeds ranging from 2 megabytes per second to 40 megabytes. Mobile operators will be able to offer 4G technology or LTE services with a 3G wave allocation license and will not need a separate license.

Negative aspects of 3G

There are good and bad aspects to everything. There are also some downsides to 3G technology. For example, as a result of high speed internet facility, children will spend more time with mobile phones, various social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, blogs will want to stay up all the time. The tendency to wake up at night will increase, which can disrupt studies. It can also be addictive to pornographic videos or pornographic images. Besides, 3G smartphones are also much more expensive than ordinary mobiles. The main limitation of 3G technology is that it does not use a wide network band. As a result, it is relatively difficult to provide this service in remote places.

The present world is in the palm of your hand. People can now communicate with people in any part of the world for the benefit of information and technology. And the wonderful discovery of information and technology is the mobile phone. Mobile phones have changed the world. Through 3G technology, people are able to communicate more easily with their loved ones. In addition to talking, watching their pictures, watching television, high-speed internet service, all these sophisticated services are providing 3G and third generation network technology. Bangladesh is not lagging behind in the service of this technology.
