Pi Wallet news After testing multiple versions of the wallet with the Moderators community, the Core Team had a test release of the Pi Wallet to any active Node during an approximately 12-hour period earlier today and enrolled over 10,000 Pioneers to further test the wallet through Node UI. While new enrollment to this test release has ended, the nodes that have created a wallet during the past open-enrollment period will continue to see, test the wallet, transact Test-Pi, and provide feedback. The learnings from the test release will help us improve the wallet’s functionalities, scalability and UI/UX for a larger launch.

The Pi Wallet will be connected to Pi Testnet and initiated with Test-Pi by the Pi Testnet faucet, which is a facility on the Testnet to distribute free test-Pi. Test-Pi (or test-π) is NOT REAL Pi! Test-Pi is solely for the purpose of testing transactions on the Pi Testnet and contains NO VALUE. The Test-Pi balance in the wallet may be reset because Testnet will be periodically reset as part of the testing. Please remember that currently sales of Pi are unauthorized and violate the terms of service, which may result in freezing the account. Please report violators.

We’d like to share this technical and product update on the Pi Wallet with all Pioneers, even though most of you did not enroll in or see this recent test release. With such limited test releases, soon we hope a user-friendly and scalable wallet will be available to everyone. We will provide further updates about Pi Wallet around Pi Day.
