A friend once asked me, "What is your Why?". I paused and thought of what is really my WHY in life. According to Teamsoul, your life's WHY is the reason you do things you do. Knowing them is understanding why you MUST do things. It is the drive that motivates you to push yourself to work on it.
What is My WHY?
My first WHY is my family. I am doing all things that I am doing today for my family. I wake up each day, push myself to write so that I could have an extra income to add for our financial needs. I work an office job to ensure that I can help in our monthly expenses. I love my family and they will always be a priority.
My second WHY is my passion for my work. If you love your work, you will do things required of it with love, passion and excitement. The work seems hard at times but it becomes possible when you think of ways how you can make the work easier by asking help from others.
My third WHY comes from NECESSITY. I feel obliged really to work because of the due dates every end of the month for the electric, water, internet bills to name a few. Of course, the debts that I have discussed in this article : Freedom from Debt : My Longing.
My WHYs as my MOTIVATION
Motivation is defined in Oxford Languages as I quote "the general desire or willingness of someone to do something."
With the said definition, I can relate my motivation to the WHYs that I have identified beforehand. Thus, my WHY is my MOTIVATION. I am motivated to work each day because I have my family, my passion for work, my bills. I am doing all this out of love for my family and work and obligation of paying bills.
Are there days that I feel unmotivated?
Just like others do, there are days that I don't feel working, like, I just want to rest and do nothing, but I at the end of the day, I still get up and do what I should for because I have my WHYs.
So what are the things I usually do when I fell unmotivated?
Pray and ask for strength from the Lord. The Lord is our strength, I acknowledged his power and might in my life. I believe in His promises. And whenever I feel weak, discouraged, I ask him to help me, to guide me.
Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
JEREMIAH 33:3
Take a break. There are times that I take a break and relax myself. Having a family outing with family, not thinking of work. Playing with my planners, journals and doing art works to divert things and avoid the stress to grow.
Ask help from others. Asking help and assistance from other people is really a way for me to be motivated. Learn to delegate work or share to others the burdens so that it became lighter. Sometimes, it just takes one person to listen to your predicaments and after that, you'll be ok. you just need someone to talk to, to motivate you.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, our motivations comes in many aspects of our lives. As for me, my motivations in doing all the things that I do now are my WHYs in life. Whatever your motivations will be, remember that it should not stress you. If unmotivated, you can try the tips that I have shared, it worked for me, maybe it will also work for you.
How about you? What is your WHY? I would like to know in the comment section below.

I see your own points. Your motivations come from a purpose, and they have reasons which you mentioned and stated. This is more like a driving force to do something because you have no better option but to do those things. I feel demotivated like you just said most times too. I feel drained and wearied out, there are times I just want to take a break and have peace of mind without worrying about the things I should be doing or the tasks I have missed, and just like you, I ask the Lord for the strength and I see him manifest on my behalf. It's nice to read about your motivations
