One night, we had a visitor... It looked like a cockroach. But, I guessed, it looked more like a beetle, or maybe a species of it. So, I decided to take a snap of it. My tablet had no macroshot so I just took a picture of it the standard manner but from the best angle and lighting that my camera could provide. After it, I almost swatted the beetle... but I just thought it was harmless so I just gotta let it fly out the window and there the poor cutie guy landed on the grasses...! I just hoped, it hadn't been found by those frogs that appeared during night time from the canals and ate it. I was reminded of a favorite poem we memorized in school as kids that taught us to be kind to all living things... I still remember it word for word to this day. It is a poem written by Stephen Grellet https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Stephen_Grellet "I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again." Such a beautiful poem, isn't it? It reminds us that opportunity only knocks once in a lifetime and any missed chance won't come back anymore. Moreover, it inspires and motivates us to live our lives as if it were our last, so that we will give our best shot... to do goodness to others including animals and yeah even to insects! ©Mitochondria Original Content
