Our Church Christmas Party and Thanksgiving Celebration 🎉

Last Sunday, December 26th 2021, we celebrated our Christmas party as well as our church thanksgiving for this year. We held it in the church for the whole day. It started at 8 am and ended at 4 pm.

During the day, happiness is written in our hearts. Every face looks excited and overwhelmed to join the party. We also bring our gifts for exchanging. Games can't be forgotten every time we have a celebration. Everyone participates except for the kids. Most importantly, the picture taking moment for the documentary memories.

Galatians 3:27

"And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes"

At 8:30 am…

Before the thanksgiving and Christmas party happened. There was a christening baby baptism in the morning. I am usually one of those godmother of the baby. Everytime we have an event for thanksgiving, the church also caters for baby christening.

Offering the lives of the infant to the Lord is also required and is needed. So that a child will live with fear of God. As I stand as a godparent I also learned other things about the word of God. Even if I am not the real parents of baby Ailah, I also have an obligation to her. It is also my responsibility to take good care of her and guide her well. That's what the word of God taught to us, as a godparent of the children.

After the ceremony of the baptism, we already prepared for the continuition of event celebration. As the time counts so fast people in the church is about to be crowded. Not to mean that the members of the church are so many, but because our church is not too big. Visitors are also welcomed to the event.

Praising God is one of the most important part of the event celebration. Worship team was very active and on fire to offer their talents to glorify the Lord. They gave their best and all out to make the worship successful for the Lord. Without the praise and worship, the celebration would be incomplete. The congregation was also very excited for worshipping the King 👑

Exactly 30 minutes of the time was consumed for praise and worship. Our hearts and minds filled out with joy and happiness by the presence of God us. Each of the people feel the warmth and embraced of God's unconditional love.

After the praise and worship, our guest speaker starts to share the very important message that God prepared to all of us. The word is from Psalms 118:29, it says; "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever." It means that giving thanks to the Lord is very important, not only in times of goodness and happiness but also in times of hardships and problems.

The word teaches us to be always grateful no matter how life is. God remains faithful to us even if we're not. He doesn't need a perfect heart but all He need is faithful to Him. One of my failures in life is about faithfulness. I admit that sometimes I am hypocrite in front of the Lord 😥 It id one of the weaknesses I've struggled so much. But thanks to the word of God, I have reminded and encouraged to be more faithful and truthful to Him ☝️

Lunch Break...

There are different foods that we bring and share. Some brought spaghetti (one of the most unforgettable recipe during Christmas), Caldereta, pancit, adobo, puto, lumpia, and many more. Someone from the church pledge letchon and skin of letchon and sotanghon is my favorite 🤤 all of us enjoyed and eaten so much. I'm so hungry that time so I was craved a lot haha. I tried so hard to eat more but my tummy is already full.

After lunch break exchanging gifts of the kids started. Each of kids are happy and like the gift they have received. All of them also received a bunos gifts from our Pastor's giveaways for Christmas.

We also have our parlor games and everyone participates from young people to the eldest in the church. We enjoyed and had fun every time the participants put the battle into powder. Everybody laughed and shouted because of the challenging game. All of us go home with prices and gifts.

Adults exchanging gifts was also done after the parlor games. Everybody was excited to open the gifts and thankful as well. Young people also received towels and blankets for adults giveaways of our Pastor's wife. I am so thankful and grateful to experience the Christmas celebration. It is once in a whole year and the memorable memories are valuable and worth to keep from the heart.

This season is one of the most awaited part of the year, to which people celebrate and giving thanks to be part of the year and survive despite of many challenges in life. Throughout the whole year we are blessed to be part of it.

Let's give love on Christmas day. No hate, just love one another 😇
