This is how it is.
Hello beautiful people!
I hope you all are doing fine amidst of the shortcomings and uncertainties we may feel day by day. Always remember that a positive life is a happy life. β¨
It was an unexpected visit I made today to a close friend. The real plan was to only claim the NBI I processed last two weeks, which I finally got then go home. However, I just felt not going home yet and decided to go to another city. We just ate at a buffet, then got some coffee, then I go home. I forgot to take some pictures as I enjoyed just talking that I even forgot the time.
I even wasn't able to ride on the last bus going home that I decided to get a taxi instead.
The taxi driver talked about how the price hike of the fuel affected everything, which I agreed. I even saw the changes on the prices of every gasoline station we passed through, different prices. Some has 79 pesos per liter, some are 77 pesos, and some really caught up to 80 pesos and more.
But you know what the driver said? "Wala nay paki taga Cebu ani, kay kadto ganing nibagyo, niabot man gani ug 150 pesos ang litro." (Cebu City people will not mind the price hike, because with the last typhoon experienced, it even reached to 150 pesos per liter.) Which I actually find funny and true. I mean, he's not bragging that Cebu people can afford anything even with the price hike, I just felt like he's just trying to be more positive despite of the changes in everything because of the ongoing war. I mean, we cannot do anything with the changes as it is how it is.
I just find it nice that people, despite of what is happening right now cannot do anything but to accept the changes and be positive. Not only the Cebu people, but we Filipinos are really good in adjusting and coping up with any changes.
You know, some may actually tell us that we are not good at anything, that we are 'just' Filipinos, that we are weak. Little did they know in our hearts, we can do more. We tend to complain, but still we do what needs to be done. Life is not easy as we thought it would be, but we have all the powers and talents to get through that difficulty.
I even remembered way back after Typhoon Odette hit Cebu, there's really no water, electricity, and all. Drivers tend to fall in line to gasoline station, morning and evening. Workers falling in line on ATM machines, the same, morning and evening while holding iced coffee. It was difficult after the typhoon but you can see them trying to be more positive. It is not bragging to act like that after such tragic event, it is just that its one way of the people coping up with what happened. Because that is how life works. If you're going to be swayed with the negativities, you lose. Easier said than done, but that's how really it is.
Changes from time to time really may happen, and we will be affected with such that sometimes we cannot do anything about it, but to accept the changes, and do our best to be more positive. After all, everything has an end. If it is sad today, for sure happy days are coming. You, the wheel of life. Sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down. You just need to get used to it. And it makes life more exciting and worth living.
That's all for today beautiful people. If you have any thoughts about this, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. Let's interact. Stay safe always! Xoxo β¨βΊοΈ
