Miss Jo: Cookerist Era.
Hello beautiful people!
I hope you all are doing fine amidst of the shortcomings and uncertainties we may feel day by day. Always remember that a positive life is a happy life. β¨
I find my title so funny. Like for real? As if I already cooked a lot of dish, where in fact I am really bad in the kitchen. I am really a no nothing about cooking. Lol!
But you know, I am really trying to learn. I wanted to eat foods that is home cook more than the one we bought we outside.
I actually tried cooking Mojos, which was an epic fail, I shared it here already. A macaroni soup, which was a success as my roommates liked it. I cooked as well fried chicken using my own made flavor mix. And I am wanting to learn more complicated dish as a challenge for me.
Everytime I cook, I always make sure to prepare all the necessary ingredients, the utensils I'll be needing and just anything. I wanted to make sure that before I cook, the environment is clean. Food is what we're talking about, so it should be clean. Excuse me! I'm talking like a pro. Lol!
Then I start the cooking!
And today, I cooked Pork Adobo. You know, it actually should be Kwek-Kwek. But there's no quail eggs available in the market so I tried to think of another thing. Doing munchkin was the second option, but to no avail of an Ace biscuit, I wasn't able to make it.
I supposed to just do nothing anymore, but my cookerist side told me not to. So I decided to why not cook Pork Adobo instead so that we'll have a viand for dinner?
And Pork Adobo won!
That's the ingredients I used to cook Pork Adobo.
Pork
Minced Garlic
Sliced Onion
Pepper
Salt/ Magic Sarap
Oil
Soy Sauce
Vinegar
Bay leaves
Some tend to put sugar on their adobo, but I chose not to. I just saute the garlic and onion for a minute, the followed the pork for about three minutes. After that, I just added water and let it boil to make the pork tender. I thought cooking adobo will only take a few minutes. But I am dvmb enough to think that way knowing it needs to be tender. So I just waited for how many minutes.
While waiting for the water I added to boil, we run out of butane gas. What a timing!
So I asked my roommate buy one for me. Good thing, he agreed.
When the water I added evaporated and when the meat was fine, I added right away the soy sauce, vinegar, and the bay leaves. Added the pepper and salt to taste. And just let it simmer.
When almost done, I added the boiled eggs as well that I cooked together with our rice. I actually almost forgot about it. I decided to put some eggs just for it look good. What a reason! Haha.
And that's the finish product! It is supposed to be not that dry since I prefer it the other way, but I forgot to turn off the stove right away that it turned that way. Anyway, for me it tastes good still. Another successful cooking show! I just hope my roommates will like it. Fingers crossed!
Well, that's it. That's how I cooked my Pork Adobo. And I welcome you to Miss Jo's Cookerist Era! Hahaha.
That's all for today beautiful people. If you have any thoughts about this, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. Let's interact. Stay safe always! Xoxo β¨βΊοΈ
