China and Taiwan Conflict

Historically Taiwan territory was under the control of China. In 17th century Taiwan was considered the part of of China and Qing Dynasty Administered it. However the territory came under the control of Japan after the Sino war between China and Japan , when China lost the war in 1895. China acceded the Taiwan territory again in 1945 when Japan lost in the second World War. A civil war erupted in the mainland of China between the Nationalist Government and the communist party. The communist party won in 1949 and took the control of Beijing. After that the nationalist party fled to Taiwan and ruled their for several decades. The communist party led by Mao Zedong's and the nationalist party by Chiang Kai shek . According to the history, China points that Taiwan were the part of China but the Taiwanese argue the same point of view that Taiwan was never the part of China.

However the root causes of the conflict is the strategic location of Taiwan. Taiwan is located in the south east of the China. It is an Island and considered himself a sovereign country. Approximately 13 countries accepted the Taiwan as a Sovereign country and the remaining countries did not accept it as a sovereign country because of diplomatic and economic bond with China. Taiwan Island has its own importance in economic Market. The Taiwan has many industries which are imminent in the word specially the computer chips industries. Computer chips industries dominates the global Economic Market which equals to half of the whole Global Market Production and Revenue. It dominates because much of the world electronic equipments like laptops, watches and games are powered by these Taiwanese computer chips. One of the main reason of the conflict that China wants to takeover the Taiwanese industries.

As we have already discussed about its strategic location, It located mostly near some important regions of the USA. China is emerging as an economic power in the world and wants to become the super power. But the existing super power USA wants to regulates its dominance and status over the world , so the strategic location of Taiwan could creates tensions for USA that's why the USA wants the Taiwan must be remained a sovereign country. However USA himself did not recognise Taiwan as a Sovereign territory because American has also good diplomatic relations with China. But if the tensions would arise between China and Taiwan, USA would provide military and Ammunition assistance to Taiwan for defence Because the American president Joe Biden clearly expressed his views regarding this in his press conference 2021.

This would be better for the whole world that this issue could resolve through negotiations in a peaceful environment otherwise this conflict could cause many economic challenges for the whole world.
