With the issue of wearing a mask while running, mask makes it harder to inhale the quantity of air needed to perform at the highest levels. Wearing a mask can decrease the airflow . Exercise leads to faster and harder breaths, so wearing a mask during exercise places a further strain on airflow. Running with a mask, or any other type of face covering, is inherently more difficult because you have to work harder to get the same amount of air into your lungs,” confirms Timothy Lyman, certified personal trainer and director of training programs at Fleet Feet Pittsburg.
Wearing a mask depends on a few factors. Wear it when running in a crowded place. If your route is less crowded there would be no need to wear it. You can also take it along while running and wear it when your encounter a crowd on your route.
