I have not made money on social media directly, however, I have taken the help of social media platforms to generate income from my website. I regularly promote my website content on facebook, twitter, pinterest, etc. These platforms send traffic to my site. The traffic interacts with my content, and I make money from my website. I have Facebook pages, however, I do not have 10k followers which is the basic requirement for page monetization. I promote my content on facebook, if I try I can earn from facebook instant articles, however, this option will stop my adsense earnings, therefore, I have not used this feature.

If you want to make money on social media, here are two best ways to do it. (This is based on my personal experience)

Sell your products: Facebook has a feature called Facebook Marketplace. This feature is available for free. You can list your product on the Facebook marketplace and sell your products to make money online. If you listed your product and yet it did not get sold, you can use the boost feature to drive sales. Boost is a paid option that will show your product on the feeds of your target audience. If your product appears on the feed of the people who are interested in your product, it will be sold. You can also sell products through your page. In order to do that you need to create a page, build followers and start publishing products for sale. If you failed to drive sales, you can boost your post to place your post directly into the feed of your potential customer. 

Sell someone's product: You can do affiliate marketing but the better option is to promote products of other businesses and individuals to make money. You need a huge following to promote products or knowledge on run ad campaigns.

I would like to monetize my facebook page and facebook group. I would like to use instant article feature to make money by sharing my actions on fcebook. I would also like to earn through video streaming and video content, facebook reels, Instagram reels, etc. I am also thinking to build my fan base so that I can do sponsorship through my pages and groups. One of the things I really want to do is get involved with video content creation I would like to learn video making and video creation.

Practically speaking, you cannot make money with 1000 followers on your Instagram account. Don't ever get this impression that you can make money on Instagram without having at least 10 thousand followers. Whether you are promoting affiliate products, selling physical or digital products, or doing sponsored posts, you will not generate sales with just 1000 followers. In order to impress sponsors, you need at least 20 thousand or more followers. Just because you are sharing affiliate links does not mean you are generating a lot of sales. In order to generate sales, you need tons of followers who are regularly checking your affiliate links and also buying from the links. You need a lot of followers, but just because you have a lot of followers does not mean you are selling a lot of items and making money. Your posts need a lot of engagements, let us say you have 10k followers on your account but if less than 10 people interact on your post, it is very likely that you will never sell any products. however, f you net over 100 engagements on your posts, you are likely to generate 1-2 sales.

How to Make Money On Pinterest For Free

If you are not using Pinterest, you should immediately start using Pinterest because it is growing massively. In 2016, Pinterest had 160 million users, in 2021, it grew to 478 million. If you are already using Pinterest for content promotion, you should also use the platform to make money because of its growing user base. The method I am going to share here does not require you to have your own product.

Affiliate Marketing: You can start sharing affiliate links on Pinterest and make money from affiliate sales.  However, make sure to create a Made for Pinterest image for your affiliate product.

Print-On-Demand: You can also share your links to print-on-demand products and drive sales. Instead of a product image, you can create infographics surrounding your image.

Pinterest has a huge conversion rate, depending on the niche Pinterest has a conversion rate of 1.5-8.5 percent. Therefore, it is easy to sell via Pinterest.
