To see you in the aisle

Everything is on their respective place,

The colorful tulips that are arranged like an arc were designed in the aisle to where your special one will walk later on,

The red carpet that she always wanted for her wedding to be more look elegant,

The song started, and you see familiar people, friends, your family, her family, and some are you don’t know about,

The motif that you and her always fought back then, you wanted it to be yellow, but she insisted navy blue, now looking at the motif in this place is filled with yellow theme, a smile drew in your face noticing she chose your favorite color,

You smile looking overwhelm how this is going so well,

Now the last and the highlight of this event,

The woman you knew so much since you were both a kid, the woman who’s make your life more extra challenging and fun, the woman who become your special one, the woman that you loved,

The sophisticated wedding gown that she’s wearing enhanced the beauty of this woman walking towards you,

You looked at her and you were shocked that your eyes met with each other, you both smile with a teary eye,

The song changes and you are so familiar with it, you smile through listening while watching her walking closely toward to where you at right now,

Slowly your tears started to build in your eyes and about to fall,

How come this day will came, that your favorite person will be this happy on this wedding you both dream when you were still young and naïve,

You reminisce the memories of you two, a two naïve kid who talks about there dreams together about getting married and their dream wedding and promised each other to be present on the wedding of who’s will be the first to be married. How funny that you silently promise to yourself that you were going to marry this girl in front of you, without knowing the future holds,

How come this is what future holds, you see your special person in front of you ready to share her life to the man she loves solely,

And here you are standing between them to listen to their vows, you started the ceremony and still there is a pang in your heart , when you see the love of your life share her I do’s to the man she loved, yes you are just choose to be a priest because of your family and being in love with your childhood best friend is wrong, so you continue to hide your feelings and congratulate the newly wed couple,

Just seeing her on the most special day of her life is all you wanted to do, she hugs you and thanked you before you left the venue, you’ve seen her smile and happy but this day is different, she was so happy and that’s okay with you, at least you still fulfilled your promise to her, but failed to to fulfilled your promise to yourself to marry and share your lifetime with the girl you always love.
