The wedding of the ant with the bumblebee

The wedding ceremony was held in a bed of wildflowers and was led by a wise and old moth. Though the day was warm, a cool breeze carried the aroma of honey from the nearby tree and rustled the petals of the blooms.

The groom, a handsome ant, was adorned in his best two slices of lichen, collected from a nearby pond. His admirers chattered pleasantly as he made his way toward the aisle. The bride, a delicate bumblebee, eagerly awaited her beau’s arrival. She was decked out in a intricate veil of apple blossoms, stitched together with strands of tuli.

The ceremony began with a sweet love song sung by a nearby canary. As they joined hands, the moth began reciting a poem celebrating the love that the two shared.

The couple was united in holy matrimony, exchanging rings of crumbling bark, as symbols of their eternal bond. All the creatures present erupted with joy as the newlyweds celebrated.

They received many congratulations.

The guests then moved to the banquet, which began with a banquet of nuts, seeds, and sweet fruits served on delicate leaves. As the guests sipped nectar from acorn cups, the bride and groom shared their first dance, gracefully waltzing among the wildflowers to the gentle melody of a grasshopper.

The jovial gathering then participated in many cheerful activities such as guided yoga and games such as rolling a ball of pollen between the attendees. Although they soon grew weary, the guests still had enough energy to witness the traditional cake smashing ceremony. As the bumblebee and ant cut the honeycomb cake- the horizon began to reflect the soon-rising moon.

As the wedding festivities came to an end and the guests began to disperse, the happy couple returned to a hollow twig, where they would begin their life together. Everyone left knowing that truly love knows no bounds, not even between an ant and a bumblebee.
