Everyone at some level has had to go through a hard moment surviving tricked.

It is something that from the opening the surge of the internet has had a lot of room and starts again to bother us to this day.

I accurately recall one of the first scams that I practically fell victim to...

As you see is cheating petitioning cash, the most shocking thing is that there are people who have tumbled for that scam.

But more incredible to learn newly that they have grabbed the person behind this. And he is nothing more and nothing less than a 67-year-old citizen of Texas, named Michael Niu, a hacker.

And this is one of the many known variants because this same man uses numerous templates with a prototype to carrying out different extortions, all with the same intention: to take over your money!.

The oddest thing is to know that there are people who fall into this trap, commonly, they are elderly people, who probably due to their loneliness and sorrow, see in this the alternative of their lives. And mostly, since they are people who do not know what to do with their capital (many of them are compulsive hoarders), then they take the benefit-donating innocently in this scam.

Recently seeing a program on national geographic, of the contrabandist series, he obtained the information that in Israel is where extortions are committed for billions of dollars. And they do this under the modality of a web page that guarantees to multiply your wage in a matter of minutes, asking as a requirement that you transfer the amount you want to a wallet of bitcoin, and since the pacts are anonymous, it is impossible to know who is the owner or where this scam emanates.

And on the show the same scammer is interviewed from his thousand-dollar sailboat, saying without shame that he has not to feel remorse about taking over these people's money.

And since there is nowadays no international law about this, these crimes go unpunished, to the point that without any shame these people confess their crime in front of a tv camera.

And we are talking about the year 1995, but presently, with the world of cryptocurrencies, there are other types of scams, which although they are similar, use the tool of phishing (what is clicking on a link, photo, or interesting content), to take you to a web page that appears to be honest, where they ask for your passwords, bank information, and credit card. People innocently think it is a rightful site and enter their details, and within minutes their account is empty or their cards are cloned.

Some of these people usually also ask for ransom by returning the stolen data.

Today I slipped upon one of these scams, which is happening on the social network steemit.com, and I will show you below:

How can you see they use multiple accounts persuading the person who has an account at steemit.com to click on the link to obtain an airdrop for 300 steems, and the person in the innocently entered the link, taking him to a page where he was asked for his private steemit.com passwords, giving them access to their wallets and missing total control of your precious cryptocurrencies.

This method is known as phishing and is defined by appearing to be a real page where all your data is going to be stolen.

Please, if you find something similar, you should uncover it immediately, as I am doing, so that the community does not fall into this trap and also the person in charge of these trickeries, will feel naked and will surely lose all your accounts, unable to continue your scam.

So the important thing here when you see something very suspicious is:

- Expose the person with a screenshot

- Alert the community by explaining what is happening

- Never provide your data or click on suspicious links

- Report what is occurring to the appropriate authorities

This way, you will not fall into these traps and you can have a healthier and safer digital life.
