Finding Balance: The Importance of Rest in a World of Non-Stop Work

Working is very fulfilling, especially when you live in a country with a complicated financial situation and a scarcity of employment. Having a means of livelihood and income is crucially important. In the case of Venezuela, it is very important for me to be independent and earn my living through these blogging platforms by creating content. 💻💰

However, it is also very important to have time to rest. Today is celebrated as Labor Day, but there are workers who do not have breaks. In my case, I work 365 days a year, and it is rare that I have time to rest. Although, periodically every two or three months, I take three or four days to truly replenish my energy. ⏰💤

There are people who work tirelessly, like the lady who is in charge of maintenance and cleaning in the place where I currently live. These tasks are very important, and on Labor Day, people are supposed to rest. However, she did not take her break because she knows that we, in the building, need her collaboration, and she came to fulfill her duties and support us. She knows the importance of keeping the common areas clean. 👷‍♀️🧼

As a form of gratitude and support, we are gathering different types of food that each of us can contribute to give it as a gift and reward to this lady for coming to work today and collaborating with us. I think it is an important gesture, and she really deserves it. 🙌🍲

All people deserve a break for the work they have done. I think it is important to recognize this and understand that, as human beings, our body requires rest to replenish energy. Not only that, but our mind also needs to relax and rest to be in a productive state. 💪💆‍♀️

That is why all people who work digitally or online in front of a computer are recommended to take a 15- to 20-minute break every 90 minutes of work. So always keep that in mind when creating content or working online. 💻👀
