A man once live in a society in which he really loved and cherished anyone in it. He could wake up and go into the homes of people, talk with them and help them overcome their challenges.
He was a wealthy man with lots of farms, cattles, flock of sheeps and several people which he employs and pays to work on his properties. He could go into someone's house and take the children as his own children; feed them, clothe them and even put them in school until they're done. But one thing that always happened was that, these children always grow up not remembering the man. They do not pay homage and do not recognise the favour he did for them. This actually happened for a really long time and he never stopped doing the same thing. One thing people never realised was that, the man had no son or child and was doing all that so he could at least be at peace in his heart since he was impotent.
He extended his help to the communities so dearly. He built houses for the poor and needy, provided for them and even gave them money, he constructed roads and even gave the people free assist when they needed to move their farm produce home. Potable water, health and educational facilities were provided for by the man.
His community became a great and developed one but still no one was willing to acknowledge the fact that, the man was really helpful. All he had ever wanted was someone who respects him and will come to him as a father and thank him for all he has done for them but not even a single soul could say that, they rather were able to complain and talk on top of their voices when somethings do not go well or the community needs help. For that, they knew someone who would be able to help. With all these going on, the man kept his mouth shut, solved their issues for them and continually helped them.
One day, his only wish was fulfilled, a gentleman walked his house while he was taking a nap. He was shocked and happy to realise that the gentleman came to commend him on the good things he has being doing for the community. He made the man realise that, he the gentleman has really received a lot of help as he, under the care of the man has successfully completed the university. He told him man how he had nowhere to stay but now has a place to sleep and even host his family members who were away.The young man knelt down and begged the man to continue with his good works even though the members of the community do not appreciate him.
The man being shocked by the words that came out of the mouth of the young man, he broke into tears. He knew his only wish has being fulfilled and at last he has gotten someone to hand over his property.
The man feeling like he has become for once potent, sweared and handed over all his properties to the young man during his days of death.
It is not always that people do things just to be praised and have their names all over a particular area. Some people sometimes just need to feel at home and complete. They therefore extend their helping hands to all people they see around. As that happens, it should be a core value or skill of anyone who receives help to go and thank such people for their care rather than stay unconcerned. Staying unconcerned only kills them inwardly and they really get happy to know that at least someone could realize their worth.
