Hello, everybody! 💛 Today I've just worked on these two sketches. The first one is a good candidate for a round canvas I bought on March, I think, and I want to paint it soon and out it in the wall. Anyway, I'm still not convinced because: why more cats at my home? I already have three making a mess around. The second sketch is... I don't know. Something coming out of a man's eyes, mouth and chest. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend, as me. Bye, bye 💛

Hello everybody! I did this drawing today and I'm so happy with it than I'm sharing it everywhere 😅 It was made for a challenge of drawing the things we draw in our childhood, and Sailor Moon was my goal for those days. Now, I create something that's barely decent (🙈). Using my watercolor markers, colored pencils and a little paper (8 cm x 10 cm), it took me 3 hours to finish.

@Michelesca

Do you know, estimated artist, that feeling when you have a random idea and you need to put it on paper? It's so satisfying when you see the crazy result. I basically don't have a certain explanation of the origin of this draw. I think my principal curiosity is: would it be different for us if cockroaches were pink? Anyways, I used my watercolor pencils and colored pencils for this drawing.

@Michelesca

@Michelesca

Hello, artists 🎨💛 here I show you a recent drawing I made on black paper. He is the Joker, the version of Mortal Kombat 11, actually. I loved the whole process, the making of the skin with whites and creams, some red, and even the background. I usually found highly difficult to draw clouds with colored pencils, but this time it was organic. Everything was flowing so great in the three, four or maybe five hours this took me to complete.

@Michelesca

Yo conozco bien a mis gatos.

@Michelesca

Happy birthday, Artpark! I tried to post a cute message for you earlier, but I wasn't able to do it properly. You can still found it in Appics. As I said in that deleted post, I've been into pencil drawing this week. But a few hours ago I gone savage with my markers, so I draw a girl in "the way I like" which it turned to look similar to Yami Yugi in Yugioh 🤣 and that's a thing because after all these years, I still love that character. I even tried to make a shadow realm background, but purple wasn't working and it changed for a dark city. City skylines are so fun to draw 💛 Materials: Used paper (because recycling is a thing) Pointer alcohol based markers Pointer Art Pro Series colored pencils A no branded fineliner.

@Michelesca

Good night, Artpark 💛 I was practicing again with my oil pastels. If you have any doubt about them, I suggest the ADCArtAttack video on YouTube. It is very clarifying and accurate. I love how they blend so that was what I wanted to focus on this practice. I took a reference, but the result is completely different because of my limited quantity of colors. But hey, that's the reason of my love for them. I mean, reference was a colorful sky, but this looks totally crazy. I love that wildness of colors. 12 cm x 12 cm aprox.

@Michelesca

Happy Valentine, everybody 💛 Yesterday, I was searching for inspiration, and I found it on Megan Weller's YouTube video called "5 ways to fill your sketchbook - valentine's day edition" I don't like how she draws, but her ideas are worthy to try. In this occasion, she gave 4 ideas: 1) a Valentine's outfit: I draw myself with these clothes and a bouquet. It is the same outfit I used for New Year. I don't care about using the same clothes several times. If I like it, I use it. 2) a Valentine's stamp: I thought on chocolates (I've eaten a pair today 🤤) but instead, what I really want to eat today is a cupcake, so I draw it. 3) a Valentine's plushie: a cat. Because I love cats. She looks so cute too me 💛 4) a Valentine's song: I choose to draw Selena Gomez in her video "I love you like a love song" I remember her using that full-diamond top so amazing! So, I put a background and use a lot of pink supplies to make this spread looks like a real Valentine's thing. I'll sure remember this day whenever I watch this spread in my sketchbook 💛 Wish you a lovely day 💛💛💛

@Michelesca

@Michelesca

Happy Saturday, artists 💛 Recently I've tried oil pastels and now I enjoy to drawing little figures. At first I was afraid of them being similar to crayons, which I don't like, but these are different somehow. First, they're soft, it's like drawing with cream 🍦 🤣 and that texture is interesting and that allows to try different techniques. Second, the blending isn't perfect, but they blend. Overlapping colors are also a way for blending and you need to try them a lot for finding the method that suits you. Finally, I got black paper yesterday! So today I'm into creativeness 🌈 I hope my review and the sketch below make you curious and try them. These I own are cheap and I think I'll buy some pro oil pastel in the future.

@Michelesca

I was so lost 🙈 but January and February turned into very moved and complicated months for me at job. And I was tired all the time. I still got some thing for drawing, nonetheless, so I show you a collage of since of my January finished drawings. I used my color pencils and markers for most of them, but this month I tested oil pastels. And what a experience. They can be mixed, blended, overlapped, scraped... That was so enjoyable. Here, the cat-burger thing was made with oil pastels. I plan to do the same in February because it have been a slow month for my art, but what I got until now possibly will interest you and even inspire you 🤩 (spoiler: it's a challenge).

@Michelesca

#3emoji6 Yes, this is another #ArtParkWeekly and the challenge consisted in create a piece inspired on these emojis: 📱🐒 🥦 (last one is a lettuce, but I can't find it 🤷). The monkey licking a cellphone was the first thing I wanted to do, where to put the lettuce was other story. I tried it as a hat, as a collar, as a ring, coming out from the phone, coming out from the background... And nothing worked, then, in my hate, I took the lettuce and put it into his nose. And there it stayed with no right to move. Coloring was kinda quick. Just as my old draws, I took markers for flat color bases and then shadowing, blending and highlighting with color pencils. I like to go this way when making big funny draws.

@Michelesca

Are you a shy artist? This just happened to me. I live in a little town and I meet a girl named Michel, as me, and she had some skills at drawing, as me. And she didn't care at all 😳 I mean, our city is really tiny (that's why I call it a town) and Michel isn't a common name. And we have not a single academy of arts or something, so people who draw and paint at a middle level is also rare. And I talk to her happily and friendly and showed interest on her draw, and she barely said "ok". I tried to show her my sketchbook and she started at it with attention but said nothing. And finally she told me she gives her draws to her friends as gifts, and I told her I usually sell them. And she said NOTHING. I'm 100% sure than you, as artist, when you say you sell your art, the other artists asks you instantly WHERE?! That's a fact. And she ask nothing. Maybe she instantly hated me (not my first time 😭), maybe she's just to shy, maybe I was too talkative. I don't know what happened. * Anyway~ after all that said, I'll tell you about this draw 😅 I tried to make a bird which feathers were actual leaves. So I studied different plants to define what kind of leaves I wanted, but I haven't learned it's names and you'll have to conform with this lame description. In the other hand, you won't read a complicated Latin plant name, you're welcome 🥂 Then I added a flower on the bird head, as if that was its brain coming out to its skull (?). And I started the coloring with watercolor pencils, but ended covering most of that with markers and color pencils. I'm sure this is not the most original idea (must be a Pokemon or something with a better design). But I think it's cute 💛

@Michelesca

Hello, everybody! How's your art this week? This is a photo of my sketchbook, a proof I tried on this week's challenge. The alien of my entry would have been the one in the middle. And I think he is good looking with an Egyptian style and his cool outfit. The big doubt was the color palette, so I got two copies of this sketch. His skin should be green, his hair pink and his eyes yellow. I did handle that. But the coloring of his outfit were just terrible. So I gave up on him. Then I draw the one at the right. Which I really like. But I wasn't able to fit the accessories for him. And then I draw an alien cat. Just for fun. And the colors fitted so good on him 🤦 he has a floating vehicle similar to the Freezer's in Dragon Ball Z, which should have the rest of his accessories. I don't know, just think he is so cute! 💛 So, this is it. Not a final piece, just an #ArtParkWip for the #AlienOC Alien Kitty FTW 💛

@Michelesca

My vacations ends today and that means less time with my sketchbook and my canvases, and my color pencils, and my acrylics and everything I love 💔 I got a new sketchbook on Christmas and this is the first drawing I made on it. I used a lot of things for a good testing of the paper since there's no information about it. So, it got deformed as you can see in the picture, but it's still at one piece. I started with watercolor pencils and water, them watercolors for a better pigmentation, markers and highlighters for bright, acrylics paints for the background, colored pencils for blending and a white gelly roll pen for highlight. You may suspect by now than in love with rainbow animals 🤦🤷🌈✌️💛

@Michelesca

1700 subs in ArtPark 💛 that's a thing! 👏 I hope people keeps supporting and comment to the artist in this great community. Well, I'm sharing my #ArtvsArtist entry. It contains some of my favorite drawings I made last year. All of them made me smile a lot for different reasons. And I want to use this for the #ArtParkWeekly and comment properly. So, what changed in my art this year? Well, I got a better understanding of shapes and volumes, so my characters and objects are more structured. Also, I've been learning about theory of color and composition and now I try to keep these studies in mind. 2021 was a good year for me. Now, my #ArtGoal2022 , as you may know if you're a member of Artpark’s telegram group, is to drawing better eyes and keep learning different techniques. And when I'm starting? Right now! Greetings 💋

@Michelesca

Buenas noches!

@Michelesca

@Michelesca

#100HeadsChallenge Yup, I gone crazy. So, yesterday I started the 100 heads challenge. So, for those who are unfamiliar with this popular art challenge, one have to draw 100 heads in 10 days. Don't you think it is funny? Main goal is to get a better anatomy drawing skills. Some serious artists also include a few hands and feet at taste 👅 all styles are obviously accepted. And this is my first page. I'll be sharing my progress on different channels so more people will know this challenge. So, wish me luck 💛 For this page, I Tried a mohawk, cartoon, horror and a funny man, which is my favorite along the Mal's portrait (from Disney's Descendants). And I'm cool with all of them, except for #8, but that's ok. She'll remember me what I'm doing wrong and should correct 🖌️

@Michelesca

Merry Christmas to you, amazing artist 💛 Yeah, I know it's Dec 26 or Dec 27 of you're in the other side of the globe 🤭 I just give this mini painting to a friend as a Christmas present. A cute kitty and a little penguin coming up from a present box. I have noticed that friend didn't have a lot of decorations for these days, so I painted this for her. This mini canvas of 4" x 4" includes two magnets, so she can put it directly on the refrigerator, if she wants to. I used acrylic paints and fat drawing transparent acrylic spry for protection. Hopefully, next year my presents will have a better technique 💛🎨🖌️

@Michelesca

@Michelesca

@Michelesca

Rudolph the Reindeer 🦌#dtiys24 For this #ArtParkWeekly challenge, I choose painting. I bought a tiny canvas 4" x 4" and search for references on Pinterest and I found white reindeers which are so beautiful and have that Christmas / artic vibe I was looking for. Then, the acrylics started. And the simplicity was also on purpose. I know there's a lot of "empty" space, but that was pretty much what I was trying to reach. I even trying another painting with a little reindeer in a bigger environment with pines and stuff. I also love the contrast of the complementary colors (blue and yellow, I can't stop using yellow 💛) and then the red (pink, really) on the corner. I hope you like it 💛🦌🎄

@Michelesca

Me encantaron.

@Michelesca

@Michelesca

Stressful presentation day for #ArtParkWeekly ! If you're part of the telegram group, maybe you've seen my sketches for this challenge. Well, while sketching was a really fluidly process, making the final art was... Stressful. Inappropriate paper selected, cats making a mess on it, a hard week at job... But mostly for the paper. It was totally a bad decision. Anyway, lesson learned. What would you do if suddenly your hair was turned into Christmas trees? #holidaycreatures
