1700 subs in ArtPark π that's a thing! π I hope people keeps supporting and comment to the artist in this great community. Well, I'm sharing my #ArtvsArtist entry. It contains some of my favorite drawings I made last year. All of them made me smile a lot for different reasons. And I want to use this for the #ArtParkWeekly and comment properly. So, what changed in my art this year? Well, I got a better understanding of shapes and volumes, so my characters and objects are more structured. Also, I've been learning about theory of color and composition and now I try to keep these studies in mind. 2021 was a good year for me. Now, my #ArtGoal2022 , as you may know if you're a member of Artparkβs telegram group, is to drawing better eyes and keep learning different techniques. And when I'm starting? Right now! Greetings π

You work is amazing and so are you β€οΈ You art transcends so many styles and genre! And it's so good to see your work every time you post one. Very inspiring! β€οΈπ
Aww Miss Lara! Thank you so, so much! π Your comment is highly valuable to me, it touched my heart. Just a few seconds I respond to @Hanzell than because I don't have a defined art style, I usually feel like I don't know what I'm doing π I just try to do me best everytime I draw πποΈ And my price is the appreciation of highly talented artist as yourself π thank you, miss Lara.

I'm kinda jealous you can change your art style while mine is kind of fixed already π these are so pretty πππ I love the elephant the most! The blending of colours if just π©πππ
Hanzell πππ For real? Because I don't have a defined art style I feel like sometimes I don't know what the hell I'm doing π€£π The elephant was made with watercolor pencils. I love them but don't use them as frequently I want. I hope that change this year π
It's a bit better than a defined style that you can't break out of :""( because you're still developing yours so you can still try a lot of things so it's nice to not have a fixed style yet. Unlike with me, I usually have to experiment so much just to get the same amount of details I usually have Ohh I thought you used ink for this one. Like pigmented ink? Because the colours are pretty sharp!
I don't know... I like so many things than I can't believe I'll ever have a personal style. I like to make portraits, but then I draw anime, and later some scenery painting... I possibly keep making different things for the rest of my life, avoiding labels and just having fun π No, no ink. Watercolor pencils. I used at first as regular color pencils and then applied water with a brush for blending. It is so satisfying!
That would've been nice to experience. My art instructor (uncle) started me off with color blending then portraits right off the bat. So my style then is still my style now. It's one of the reasons I can't draw anime π So this is what watercolor pencils can do :") now I want a set but they're so expensive
So cool you have someone who teaches you π I can't even imagine how your learning process was. I remember when I was al little girl and all what I was capable of drawing were stick people. My mom showed me how to draw a hand, but those looked like cocking gauntlets π π€£ I love to try new art supplies, but I don't use to spend more to 20$ on it. My watercolor pencils are of the MP brand, made in Spain, highly pigmented. I've seen Prismacolor but yeah, they cost so much more! π€―πΈ
That was when I was in highschool. I do the teaching now π€£ but only for realism because that's the only style I do know :"( I still need to expand. He used to make me draw his models and stuff. It was fun but still kind of embarrassing cuz they stripped down π€£π€£π€£ Ohh I can't imagine buying anything over $20 OnO my watercolors are just $10 and that's the most expensive thing I have in my art drawer now-
Woah! You're a sensei π€© I can't teach. I tried once... Didn't like it at all π£ I haven't draw from natural people naked. I'd like to paint on them tho π I only have scholar quality watercolors for 3$ π€£ even paper is expensive here. A 300 grams type costs 10$ for 10 A4 sheets.
I taught kids but that was mostly for getting proportions right and color blending. Art kids are damn creative, I tell you- they're cool OwO I think you'll enjoy the mini strip show though π π π but body painting is a whole other art on it's own π©π©π© π Why are stuff there so expensive- while the 300 gsm I'm using is like $5 for 10 A4 sheets Whut-
Uhhhh I'd like to see you while teaching π Yeah, kids are so creative in general. Last week I heard a 5 years old boy speaking about his painting of a flying purple elephant in space. I wanted to make a sketch of that since then π Yeah, body painting is different. But I love to try different things π» when I was at the University, my friends always asked me for draw anything on their hands and arms. I draw coins, cards, political posters and random symbols on them π€£ We have a crazy hyperinflation here in Venezuela π€· that's why are so many of us trying to make some cents in Noise π
Idk about people watching me teach but the kids learn and that's important π€£ I used to get drawing inspiration from my younger sisters because they have so much to say π€£ and most of my character designs were from them Ever tried doing mandalas on them? That would have been so pretty to see bit I don't think you guys have that culture? I heard from other Venezuelan users too. They say everything costs Γ2 or 3 there now and it's just crazy tbh
I work in a school, in the administration sector. And I like to see how teachers get the children's attention. That's something in not able to do. The artist mostly has it inspiration of it world. Like you have your sister, I have my cats. No, I haven't tried mandalas. But those are pretty popular here. I bought a dragon based mandala book just for inspiration because I love dragons. Yeah, most of our products are imported and pass throughout a chain of resellers than need their incomes. That's why everything is so expensive. Many rather to travel to other countries and bring stuff for selling at lower prices than stores.
I just have magic tricks πππ it's handy to know experimental chemistry in physics, the kids think what I do is magic so they get one magic trick a day if they do well, that's about the best I do to get their attention and it works all the time. Though cats as inspiration... I know a few artists like that π Ohh are you gonna start doing mandalas one of these days? You can use henna shampoo for a henna mandala OwO we do that in the summer Ohh while my country is a manufacturing country so we get plenty of material for cheap and it's pretty nice
Yeah, teachers need to be creative to find different ways to get the children's attention. That's so true. I'm not into mandalas. I just liked that book because of the dragons. Henna shampoo? π *Time to Google* I'm lost, Hanzell π
This is my creativity π I remember they loved making colored fire the most If I'm going into mandalas ... I think I'll look for one with lots of mythical creatures, not just dragons For context: we use henna shampoos as henna tattoos here, especially when they can't handle needles. We just brush it on skin and let it dry. When it's dry, we rinse it with water then the painted design stays on the skin for 2 weeks
I like mythical creatures, but dragons are really, really my hype. Oh, I get it now. I always use just a ballpoint pen for that. Once, I made a little tribal design with nail polish on my belly. Next day I went to the beach and, as usually, I got sun burns. When the nail polish was removed, the design stayed with my natural pale skin.
I'd go for mermaids any day π and sea serpents Nail polish for white henna, I see never tried that because I don't usually get tanned since I'm already tan
Oh, are you into mermay this year? π€© I haven't tried because my mermaid were terrible. But I had studied some sea creatures anatomy and maybe I can come with something crazy π½
I've always been into it OnO I'm a sea creature myself. Maybe you could incorporate merpeoole and sea creatures in this new challenge? Because I'm going with a neon cyberpunk
Oh! Ok! π€£ Water stuff... So that's why you like WATERcolor π Since my vacations ends today, I'm not sure how many art I can make from now on. I'm live cyberpunk style. And neon π€©
Of course πππ you do know water is important UwU and all sources are welcomed Ohhh hopefully you can still get some art done :") I'll miss your colorful art Same same UwU but I struggle to Draw cuz my poor eyes
I wrote wrong. I mean I like cyberpunk style, not thank I'm living it π€¦ I think that style in particular is hard. It requires a lot of study of outfits and equipment. I didn't sleep well last night but fortunately that didn't affected my job at school today. I tried to sketch some ideas for the alien challenge as soon I came back home and fell asleep after eating.
Right now, the I'm just fixing the light sources so I know how dark the shadows will go in one layer. That's why I had to make the neon background. If I don't get completely tired from today's agendas, I'll try to work on facial and hair details so I can finally work up the shadows
Congratulations dear. You can do a lot of good art. I am surprised to see you. Extraordinary extraordinary art is yours. All the arts seem real. You have a lot of good artists.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it, your words are so much nice π
