Feeling prepared..

Considering the statement I'm not ready, I just can't help but ask this question will you ever be?

While thinking about what to base today's article on, I remembered the conversation I had with my roommates. If you remember from my previous article, I mentioned that my room had 5 girls and you know that girls and talking are like bread and butter.

We talked about relationships and each of us aired their view on the different topics that were brought up. I remember someone mentioning that relationships are not something we should engage in while we are not entirely ready to bear or carry the weight.

But is there ever the time where we'll ever be ready?

Let's not limit the above statement only to embarking on a relationship.

Irrespective of the journey or quest that one wants to embark on, one should not have to wait for that perfect time as it will categorically never come.

As much as humans try to chase perfection by all means, it is not in our nature. Do you want to know what is natural to us? It's making mistakes! So the perfect time that we keep searching for, may never come. So what happens when that time never arise, do we give up or push on?

For me, waiting for the perfect time is how many people have missed out on good opportunities that could have taken them closer to what they wanted. But because they felt unprepared, it passed by. You may never know how prepared you are until you try.l

Our feelings can often lead us astray most times. We feel alot of things that aren't true more often than not. It's better to trust in facts that have been proven that how we feel. I say this because feelings can be deceptive. And if one were to rely on how they felt, then one would never feel prepared.

I've spent weeks preparing for an examination and a few days to the exam, i begin to fret. Worse off, on the exam morning, my heart begins to beat drastically and I begin to doubt myself. When the exam papers are being shared, you see me prayer to God frantically for rememberance.

A few mins into the exam, I'm already writing so much that my hands hurt. If you had asked me if I wanted to postpone such an exam, I'm sure I would have said yes but then I aced it and did well in the end.

Don't get me wrong guys I'm not trying to say spending time on preparation should not be done. I'm simply saying that if you're waiting for that I'm ready feeling to come it just might never.

One of the things that affect us is that we want to personalize almost every experience that we hear from other people. The fact that Mr Paul had it a certain way dosen't mean that yours would go the same way too. Know thyself!

We fail to really study ourselves and be rest assured of how we'd react in certain situations or scenarios. I've talked to certain people and asked them how they would react in certain cases and they were not even one bit close to being definite about their reply.

I repeat again, know thyself! Nothing helps better this.

Author's Epilogue

It's your favorite author here again and I'm feeling so much better health wise. As a matter of fact, I've been dancing and feeling myself for most part of the day. Feels good to be back! And mind you, I finished all my drugs.

The week begins again with farm activities. Thankfully this would be our last week here and I can't wait to get back to my usual life.
