Cats are the sweetest

When I was a kid, we never had a cat in the house for the reason that me and my siblings are asthmatic, when we were a baby. Once a week we'll always go to the clinic for check-up as per my parents. They told us stories that they had to forced us to eat grilled lizards just to eliminate our asthma. It is sort of a medicine daw. Haha. I still don't know if its true. And I can't imagine I really did eat one.

I was once bitten by a dog that perhaps lead me to not having compassion to any pets and cats, I view them as one of my enemy, scary and always horny fur pets. Back at home on our province, some of the cats go to our house to eat whatever they can eat on our home. Totally hate them for trespassing and stealing our food. And not only that they sabotage our kitchens. Plus they got this annoying loud noise when they are in heat. I'd always thought they will scratch my skin whenever they feel like to or when they are irritated.

But all of it has changed when my roommate Oh, brought Bently at our rental apartment. At first I was hesitant to agree with adopting the cat, because of the reason stated above. But disagreeing isn't possible because Oh had already made terms with the owner of Bently. And even I disagree, Oh would still have the cat on the apartment. Haha.

Living with Bently (the name of the cat) for 3 months now I discovered a lot of interesting facts about cats.

Cats are Clean

It never occurred to me that cats have a very hygienic habit. Unlike dogs, who poop and pees everywhere, cats are very different. Bently has this called 'Liter Sand'  on the apartment, where when he wants to poop, he'll go there and not only that he will also hide his poops.

And he also likes his water clean! He won't drink the water anymore if there are any floating materials, like his food on the water. What an overly particular cat! Haha

Also whenever he feels like he is dirty, he always has this habit of licking his furs until he feels like its clean again. Haha.

Cats are the sweetest

Never thought cats are sweet and possessive. Haha. Every morning, at 5 am, the time I woke up, Bently would come over in my bed, and would wake me up for real. He'll kind of get my attention by sleeping beside me. When I held my phone, he'll go where my phone is, as if telling me to hold him instead! So possesive yah!

Whenever we get home, he is already on the back door and waiting for us. Isn't that sweet? Haha.

Cats love to sleep, but when there are visitors, they are wide awake.

Last week and yesterday night a friend of ours have visited our apartment and I have noticed that Bently, in his unusual self cannot sleep whenever there is still visitors on the house. He walks, and walks, and walks around our mini table and I think wanting to catch everyones attention. 🙈

Even its already passed way his sleep, he just lay there on the floor still trying to stay awake. I don't know whether he is just being protective or looking for attention.

I never really thought Bently and I would clicked, because the first two weeks he's on the house, he jump off on me and it resulted to a big scratch in my legs. Its really gross. Haha. And I kinda hate him for that!

But due to his affectionate attitude, and his sweetness, my weak heart could not hate cats anymore.

In conclusion, we aren't really sure if we are not capable unless we try, its applicable whether we are looking for a job or adopting a cat, or trying to do math. Some things that we've grown to know are not at all true, or at least still need a confirmation.

Would I adopt my own cat? It is possible! But it is a little costly. 🤔
