Resolutions over idleness

Resolutions are made and meant to be fulfilled.

Countless of them are made each year, yet even half of them are challenging to fulfill. Some were confident that they could accomplish it, but another year came, and it remained unfulfilled. However, there are those who, against odds, are able to complete most of their resolutions, if not all.

To say that I have always performed my resolutions is something that is overstated. It's far from perfect, yet I am constantly helping myself to improve more and be productive.

I always put on top of my list to become fit and to gain more weight but guess what? Instead of increasing, my weight is like the price of BCH. It goes up and down. In short, it is not stable. But anyway, my metabolism might have something to do with it.

Resolutions are made and meant to be fulfilled.

But how can we achieve it when there are lots of interferences? It's not as simple as what we think of it. So we should just set something that is really possible. Not those things that are far from being done.

Anyway, let us talk about the resolutions that are commonly being set by individuals. A new year is not yet here, but we should already have an idea as early as now. Nevertheless, it's all up to us.

Exercise more and eat healthier.

I also include this in my new year's resolution, but sometimes it's hard to do, especially when I am really busy where I have no choice but to pause it even for just a few times. Also, exercising seems to be easy, but it is also tiring. For this reason, some people failed to continue it. But the best advice I could give to myself and to others is to start it upon waking up in the morning. You can take a walk or jog, then eat green veggies rich in nutrients and vitamins. I understand that it is hard, but with proper discipline, we can all do it.

Stop smoking and drinking liquor

These are other common resolutions that are being set. While some are able to accomplish it, there are also some who did not make it. But that does not mean it is already worthless. Yes, they did not meet their expectations, but if there is an improvement, that is already something to be proud of. As they say, no one is perfect, so cheer up with every bit of improvement you do.

The fact is it is difficult to carry out change in any person immediately. Some are often stuck in their actions and should succeed over the obstacles in their way. Even though it is a little progress, each little thing that causes a positive change in us is already desirable.

But let this be a reminder for everyone. If you really want to change an aspect or something else in your life, do not just wait for a new year to change it when you can start changing it right now. After all, it is like you are deluding yourself when you just go with the trend and end up doing nothing but being idle.


So that's it for this article. Just remember that resolutions are made not to prove to ourselves what we can do nor to just go with the flow and end up just being idle. We set it for our betterment and of course, to have a better outlook in life. No matter how small it is, it is still an achievement once you did it. And that is something to be proud of.

I agree. A lot of new year's resolutions were made every year and even me can't manage to do all of it. Like you said, discipline is really needed.
