Color Wheel of Love

If someone's asked you about love, for sure mostly will think about romantic love right? We always think about Romeo and Juliet while imagining the meaning behind this word. A four letter word but no one can't give the exact definition of it. Each of us have different perspective about it. Is it really a feeling or a person ?

Earlier, out of nowhere my prof asked us if what color represents our relationship status now. Honestly, I don't know what color will represent mine because I thought love has no particular color but rather it's our heart that matters, if it is pure and sincere. Nevertheless, my prof continue tackling about this topic. Honestly, I don't know why he discuss about this even our subject is about Risk Management. Or maybe he wants to know how much can you risk for love. Aaacks, Feb-ibig feels here we go again. He added that we should take a look to the " The Color Wheel Model of Love" by John Alan Lee . The model is a bit familiar to me but I still search it and I found out the different color which represents different kind of love.

Based on this model, there's actually 6 model of love but now, I only tackled the first 3 so this article is not so long hekhek.

1.Eros (Loving an ideal person)

This kind of love is what we are searching for too long, a romantic kind of love. The standard and typical kind of love. We saw it commonly on the movies, a fairytale love but it's hardly to find in real life lol. Eros embodied the chemistry and sparks within a lovers. It is the moment when your whole world stops when you saw a girl walking in front of you then suddenly you fell in love to her. Cupid's under attacked lol. It called " loving an ideal person" because we tend to think that we are already on the right person and we are the " Queen" and " King" behind it. A person in this kind of romance tend to take a risk for her lover. Lovers are bound with strong commitment and typically its ending is marriage. If you already find it, your home , edi sana ol hahaha, sure na ba yan? 🤣Just kidding ,I'm happy for you.

2.Ludus (Love as a game)

The kind of love that I want to avoid, syempre marupok tayo eh, ay ako pala hahaha. I don't want to invest my time, emotions and especially my heart to someone without assurance. I fell in love so easily so Ludus is a big No for me. Ludus is a kind of love which has no feelings and commitments involved. A person with this kind of relationship only love to play and flirt around the girls/boys. Obviously, it has no definite connection between you two and it seems that it's a " Friends with benefits" relationship. Because of this a remember a famous lines in one Filipino movie entitled Milan.

Whatever the answer is, it's still painful right? So don't ever get involve yourself in a relationship if you are not ready to take the risk. And don't ever disturb someone's life if you can't stand it until the end.

3.Storge (Love as friendship)

For me, it's the best kind of love. Love that coming from our love ones; family and friends. This kind of love is also called familial love because it's talk about parent-child relationship. I believe that it is the most pure and sincere love of all. There's no one who can replace a parents love right? Maybe some of you might say , that your parents seems not to love you but believe me friend, maybe they didn't show it but still I know that deep inside, they pray and love you the most. Parent is a parent and for them, their child is the thing that they want treasure.

If you already watched the movie " Seven Sundays", definitely you can relate to it right? Just like the scenes portrayed on the movie, despite on your mistakes and bad side, when someone leaves you and even you are already successful , there's still one place that you wanted to go and it's your home where you family is. There's no perfect family, misunderstanding and intense scenes is always part of it but most of us still choose to go back to them because family is love hehe.

Love varies on different ways to different person. We can feel in love even we don't have a partner. Love doesn't feel romantically. Right now, I'm happy for having a yellow hearts 💛💛 For me, it's better to be in live with your family while waiting for the right person for you. But don't be afraid to be in love huh, because as Molaire said " To live without loving is not really live". So let's always choose to love and to be loved of course.
