Adulting change my cravings in Life

Hello dreamers!! I hope that you are okay physically and mentally. I noticed that most of us are struggling to cope up in life but I wish that you always find the reason to continue.

It's hard. That's exactly my thoughts while realizing that I am already an adult. It is far from the idea that when you become an adult, you will definitely be free. It's a trap. Maybe, we can decide on our own but I can't say that we are totally free. Being an adult feels like you are inside a box and being surrounded with walls of judgment. One wrong action and they will attack you immediately. I don't know if you will agree to this but I think that kids have more freedom than adults. They are free to enjoy and play all day while us, we need to stretch, do some jobs and side hustles to sustain our life. A tiring routine.

Adulting change me a lot. Though I am thrifty since then, I can say that adulthood makes me 3x of it. Unlike before that I immediately add to cart and buy random items,buy the foods that I'm craving for; now I will assess myself so many times before buying it. Sometimes, it feels so illegal to spend and I will ask myself if I really deserve to have that. Also, I can say that I am no longer an impulsive buyer since I reach adulthood. I become wiser when it comes to money. Someone said to me that before spending money, you should earn twice of it first. Right now, my cravings in life is not totally depends on the flashy material things or what is the trend but rather I'm craving for the stable future. I'm craving for more investments and to have properties. Cravings to help other people using my own pocket. I have a cravings to spoil my family on whatever they want. So as early as now, I practice to be money wise especially that I am still don't have plenty money on hand.

Cravings of an Adult

But I'm not only crave to be financially stable. I also want peace. Lately, I appreciate more a quiet place specifically the time when I am alone. I can understand now why others are so in love interacting to nature because it can give them peace. A peace that a crowded place can't ever give. For some reason, being an adult makes me realize that lying on the bed after a day is the most precious thing that you can give to yourself. Now that we are busy, it's hard for us to give tender to ourself. We tend to forget that we only have one body that need to be taken care. I crave for the sunset so that I can finally rest. I crave for the dark as it gives me the silence to reflect and breathe.

My ultimate cravings as of the moment is to become successful in life. I am so eager to achieve the goal that I have. I am aware that it might not always go as I plan but I believe that there's always way. My cravings might take years; it needs an effort, hard work and dedication but I will push myself to be better everyday and make a step to achieve it little by little. So, I wish that we can have all the cravings we have in life.
