Ngayon tuloy parang no energy na to write.

Hello Appics family! It's been a while since I last posted an entry, and here's my first post on this channel! https://web.appics.com/s/p/appics-v1-appics-im-160455-e6c3880d4E
A healthy relationship is one that recognizes strengths and weaknesses and uses them as launchpad to help one another and grow together. Hindi pwede ang pataasan, payabangan. A healthy relationship is one when you can be vulnerable, knowing you're in safe company with nothing to worry about.
Gratitude Challenge - June This post came in just a bit late. July seemed to rush in with several tasks that kept me from writing for days. It feels depressing to see cryptocurrency prices plummet in the past several days. It took me a whole month to earn $10 in noisecash (and as of this writing, I am still a few cents short). Nevertheless, I still have a lot of things to thank God for because of things that happened this June. Some of them I will list down here. Preaching…

Meeting after meeting! So after ng shift today, 8am-4pm, may meeting naman onwards and I suppose it will last until hmmm 8-9pm?
Good morning people!
After almost 4 months, finally nakapag-post din sa blog! I have been very busy lately na naiwan ko na yung personal website ko huhu. Hoping na makabawi-bawi, sayang ang bayad haha! btw guys, help me grow my traffic. visit niyo naman haha! Tsaka comment na rin kayo :) https://martsvalenzuela.com/no-magic-money-doesnt-grow-on-trees/
Went to Nuvali last Friday for the first time via commute - PNR, bus, jeep, tricycle, UV, ejeep! Next time, to Tagaytay naman. Tamang Google Maps lang at tanong tanong. Haha!
Done with my acknowledgements and bio entries! Nakakaexcite haha! Bukas ulit. Another busy week ahead ☺️ shalom, everyone!
Living Out the Golden Rule We have heard of the golden rule: do unto others what you want them to do unto you. It is a derivative of Jesus' sermon on how we should treat others - as we want them to treat us. Matthew 7:12 says, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." This attitude is about putting ourselves in someone else's place instead of us trying to put them in their place. There's a big difference:…
To relate well with people, we need to decide how we want them to treat us, then begin to treat them in the same manner. It starts in us. But how do we want to be treated? A little introspection will give us a few answers. Read on. https://read.cash/@Marts/living-out-the-golden-rule-2f682a8b#comment-e317f605
Talk is Cheap. Commitment Matters Growing up, we received several promises from our parents, such as they would take us to a park, bring us our favorite doughnut or ice cream, or buy us a toy. We were ecstatic then, knowing our parents would commit to what they promised. But unfortunately, to some, it was their first heartbreak. The promise ended up as an empty talk so we won't be bothered by our parents' absence. Until then, promises gradually lose their impact. Couples…
Merienda, sulat-sulat, konting trabaho, tsaka idlip siguro hanggang mamaya hehe. Kumusta mga beshies?!
Success Doesn't Come Easy I first encountered the 1.01^ principle in James Clear's book Atomic Habits. It mathematically illustrates the power of compounding. Little progress may seem unnoticeable at first until they become unmistakable. Here's an illustration: 1.01 ^ 1 = 1.01 1.01 ^ 50 = 1.64 1.01 ^ 100 = 2.70 1.01 ^ 150 = 4.44 1.01 ^ 200 = 7.30 1.01 ^ 250 = 12.03 1.01 ^ 300 = 19.79 1.01 ^ 365 = 37.78 That tiny little .01 unit of daily progress over a year makes a huge…

Uber busy ang week na ito. Wednesday, 9pm na nakauwi. Thursday, 10pm. Ngayon, until now nasa office pa rin haha!
I'm here at Freedom Park, Marikina, waiting for my balikbayan friend. Matagal-tagal din kaming hindi nagkita kaya konting catch up muna. Hehe.
What it Takes to be a Leader I had several opportunities to lead several programs and activities in the past. I had many blunders and committed awful mistakes. I admit leadership is not an easy job. It requires not just the ability to give out instructions. It will also push you and sharpen you to fit in the mold of a leader. It is not for the faint of heart. When I was a young leader, I thought leadership was just about delegating tasks and bossing people around. What's…
Leadership is challenging. It is admired by many and sought by many. But once you're there, it will exact a significant toll on you. If you aim for it, be sure to prepare for it. https://read.cash/@Marts/what-it-takes-to-be-a-leader-d70bfce8
Felt two contrasting emotions after hearing how much my tuition fee will cost. Overwhelmed kasi saan manggagaling yung amount na yun? And excited kasi expectant ako that the Lord will provide 😊 Paano nga kaya? Haha! Hello mga ka-noise!
Debunking the Myth of Work-Life Balance I wrote this entry earlier than usual. I got home a little earlier, and my mother and younger brother were not around. Only the dogs are with me. Finally, some peace! Me time! I wanted to maximize my aloneness. Usually, when I arrive home, I hit the bed immediately for a short nap. But this time, I made a cup of coffee and went straight to my study table for this entry. I also played a gospel music playlist to accompany me as I wrote…
Felt productive today, and the night is still young! Sharing this entry I wrote on Hive. It was our trip to Nuvali via different modes of transport! What a fun weekend that was! https://ecency.com/hive-168869/@devowriter/bus-ejeep-pnr-tricycle-etc
Listening to Don Moen playlist while doing my stuff tonight ~ Gonna be a long, tiring, but enjoyable night ahead! Kailangan ng kape at creativity para magising! Anong dinner niyo, mga kakosa?
You Are Your Greatest Asset Aside from memes and funny videos circulating on various social media platforms, we can also glean essential and life-altering truths wanting to land on fertile and teachable hearts. And among them is this: *Your company primarily treats you as an asset. So take that leave of absence from time to time because you are not as indispensable as you think you are. Someone else will take your place immediately after you die.* The thing is, most of us…
Weekly meeting is on! Sana di abutin ng 10pm para naman marami pa akong magawa for the night. Let's bring it on! How's everyone? Happy weekend!
I tried Grammarly Premium - the ones being offered in Facebook Marketplace. I opted for a lifetime subscription. But after a few weeks - not even a full month - my account reverted back to the Free version. Is this really the norm? Akala ko naman legit na. Sayang bayad ko :(
NO is a Complete Sentence Most of my friends have a story to tell about them having difficulty saying NO. It is one of the hardest sentences to utter to some, and it takes guts to say it with conviction. I can attest to how difficult it is to say NO. As a result, it takes a toll on me. Either I have found a way to work around these extra hassles and I have just become accustomed to them, or I am just too accommodating to even care. But regardless if we can entertain the…
"But regardless if we can entertain the extra tasks unnecessarily placed on our shoulders, we should let people around us understand that NO is a complete sentence. It is not a suggestion, but a statement. It is a boundary, a demarkation. It means we are serious, and people should respect that." https://read.cash/@Marts/no-is-a-complete-sentence-80a68a8c

A pleasant day, everyone! Balik office na ulit tayo after ng semi-pahinga kahapon. Happy Tuesday!
Sometimes You Just Get Too Tired to Care I posted one time in noise how frustrated I am that my Grammarly premium reverted to a Free account. As someone who takes writing seriously, and as a person who values commitment and delivery of what was promised, I felt disappointed. I am disappointed with the value I should be getting in the amount I invested in that Premium account which promised lifetime access. But I haven't even made it through a full month's use. I am…
Capitalizing on your stressors. Ayun. Why not earn from them haha! So ayun, tamang rant lang muna with the hope na mapansin ni Rusty lol. What Makes a Friend a Best Friend My girlfriend confided that she considers no one else her best friend but her sister. To her, being a best friend is a huge role to fill, and it takes a huge amount of trust just to carry that title. We could have hundreds of friends but since "best" is superlative, it should be given careful consideration. The qualification should be stringent. Her principle is backed up with a story. She was disappointed when an elementary classmate called…
Haha! Sa weekends na lang tuloy lahat binubuhos :)
Over the years, I can say my friendships have taught me that I am not made to go through life alone. We are wired differently, and we look for certain things from certain people so we can trust them and approve them as our best friends. And whoever fits into our criteria, we value them as a significant part of our life, often as someone who "sticks closer than a brother." https://read.cash/@Marts/what-makes-a-friend-a-best-friend-880057a4
The journey is more important than the destination. If the journey doesn't bring out the best in me, reaching the finish line will not matter much. If I can't find fulfillment in the pursuit, the peak will not be too fulfilling. https://ecency.com/hive-153850/@devowriter/when-finishing-doesn-t-mean
Have you Heard of Toxic Productivity? You are always busy and consistently on the move. You think you are getting things done - and you feel great! But you end up feeling exhausted, drained of all your energy. You retire for the day, and guess what? Tomorrow is another day! Only to find out that your critical work remains unfinished. *You're busy but not productive.* And that's when I read about toxic productivity from Tobi Emonts-Holley. I can relate to his idea on toxic…
