Because of the pandemic, the book publishing industry is drastically affected. I pray that our book proposal (and proposals from other Filipino authors as well) be given a GO this year. I know how helpful devotionals are especially in these trying times. But even then, I'm still grateful for other platforms where I can "speak life" :)

One thing I hate about my work is asking for receipts, proof of payments, vouchers, acknowledgment receipts, whatever... to prove the existence of a transaction. We can't just rely on word of mouth, it has to be corroborated with a source document. And sometimes when I ask for these documents, people think I don't trust them enough. Umm, yes I do trust people, but I need this job :p

I just watched Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins and I loved it. It perfectly described the origin story of Batman and his motivations for taking the role of a symbol seeking justice, not revenge, for his beloved Gotham City. He's a very grounded character, with no powers, but with humanly reasonable determination. This is why He's one of a kind, compared to his colLeagues (yes, I intentionally capitalized L, for Justice League ofc) who are mostly super.
