Prisoners with Most Number of Life Sentences
Martin Bryant – 35 life sentences + 1,652 years without bail
Australian mass shooter Martin John Bryant murdered thirty five people and injured 23 more in the Port Arthur Massacre. As a baby, Martin was noticed by his mother, Carleen, who dislikes physical affections such as cuddles and hugs. As he turned 1 year and 4 months old, he eventually did running, climbing and even escaping which became hard for Carleen. Disappearing regularly in the house, his parents struggle to find him and sometimes finding in very odd places like the other side of the railway line. As Martin’s parents are starting to feel discomfort over his safety, they would leave him with a harness attached to him but with toys all around him.
Personally, I think he looks like the little girl’s behavior in the movie “Mama” directed by Guillermo del Terro. Take a peek of the film so you can see for yourself.
As Martin grew up, several strange behaviors were seen on him including him shooting a parrot, coming on it and shoot several more. His friend also ended their friendship after Martin put a gun on him. Neighbors even reported him seeing attempting to shoot at tourists buying apples. Friendship was never made in the neighbor by then on. Martin though found a friend named Helen Harvey whom became his best friend and companion throughout the years but eventually was killed on her neck snapped when their car slipped on the road. Martin then went back home. Domestic travels were done by him in Asia and Europe. When his parents were gone, frustrations and depressions happened to him.
Abdullah Barghouti – 67 life sentences + 5,200 years without bail
A Palestinian leading commander was pled guilty in 2004 for bombing 66 people and wounded over 500 more. He is currently jailed in Israel and is on his 16th year behind bars. In 1999, he joined the Hamas Paramilitary group when he traveled in the West Bank. The bombing is in consideration of the Sbarro restaurant suicide bombing in attempt for multiple attacks against the Israeli civilians.
I can’t really find any related articles regarding his childhood or how his fond over attacks started.
Terry Lynn Nichols – 161 life sentences without bail
An American militant born in 1955, who killed over 168 people in the Oklahoma City Bombing, considered as one of the deadliest act of terrorism in U.S. history, right next to the September 11 attacks. It was 1995 when he was charged with the bombing. Nichols went on three months trial right after Timothy McVeigh, his colleague, had been sentenced to death on June 11 after a month-long delay. Most Americans believed that his life sentence was served as a justice to all innocent people in the building during the time of the attack. The bombing is said to be served as a payback for Ruby Ridge, an 11-day argument between the FBI and US marshals with white separatist, Randy Weaver, and Wago siege, a 51-day battle between Branch Davidians, a religious community founded by Benjamin Roden, and federal agents.
