Italian Urban Legends
Pier Zanfretta – imagine being abducted by alien not once, not twice, but five times. Pier Zanfretta, an Italian security guard had been abducted 5 times from 1978-1981 in Geneo. He give details of the events happed through a truth serum as he was returned hypnotically. A group of Dragos from planet Teetonia were the involved aliens in the abduction. The first the abduction happened when he saw four lights in the sky, then the engine, radio and lights went out. He thought these lights were thieves so he then went to them only to see, as what he described as, “an enormous green, ugly and frightful creature with undulating skin”.
The Capuchin Catacombs – a place where over 8,000 people’s skeletons and preserved bodies were seen hanging from walls or glass caskets to be seen by visitors. Monks started the preservation to pray on them, then locals started paying monks to preserve their bodies as well. The last preservation ended in 1920 by a two-year-old girl who died from pneumonia. Her body made visitors amazed since she look the same as herself all because of a secret technique used by the embalmer. But more frightening is that she is sometimes seen opened her eyes and people believed that this is because of the dark power that lies on the bodies.
The Witches of Monte Matanna – a mountain in the Italian alps offers hiking by day and witch hunting by night. Back in the day, the mountain is said to be a place for all witches for their rituals and human sacrifices. A sacrificial table is still seen in the mountain. Local says that the witches visit the mountain again and again to look for their wealth and fortune since they left it to move to afterlife. So if you want to go here and go treasure hunting, you might find a grim reaper. But if you manage to get out of them without having your throat slashed then congratulations, you just won the game.
The Beautiful Woman – a legend tale in the Villa di Corliano near Pisa. History has it that there was a house home to the ghost of Teresa della Seta Boca Gaetani. A woman to be described as beautiful married to Count Cosimo Baldassare Agostini in 1755. Her spirit has compelled to the house up to this day. Most people and owners that lived in the house have seen her making uncomfortable doings such as slamming doors and windows, move ornaments and even saw her in her horse cart.
Casa delle Anime – one of the most haunted houses in the world is located in Voltri, Geneo in Italy. Legend has it that this house was once owned by a family who all had severe mental disorders. In most nights, they would invite passing guests to have a stay in, sometimes even for free. Once these guests were in there deep sleep, the family would murder them, take their belongings and bury them. Souls of the victims would be seen roaming around the house. One family who stayed there during the World War 2 once saw a little girl walking asking for where her love one is.
Really wonderful finding and revelation... The last one sounds like a myth but I think it might be true based in I am not hearing it for the first time...
