3 Movie Myths Debunked in 3 Minutes (or More)
Have you ever had the nervous feel when you see a character in a movie gets the chloroform that are put in napkins eventually make them fall asleep or get unconscious? Well, it isn't true in the real world. Chloroform takes about five minutes to attack. Several scenes in movies compared to real life events are not actually true. Although some movies are captioned or in genres of drama or based on true-to-life, still some scenes don't make sense. Well, some maybe I believed to be true in life but it takes time.
Here are my top 3 movie myths that are not true in real life:
TAKING THE PIN OUT OF A GRENADE USING YOUR TEETH
We love action scenes where we see actors and actresses in their A-games and they pull out a grenade then take the po out of it then throw it to make n explosion. Well, in real life, it doesn't work that way. You can't pull out the pin using your teeth. Your teeth will be the one to be pulled out before you can even pull the pin out. I actuwlly don't know this befor since as a kid, watching movies where this scene is included, I totally admire the characters when they do that. But when I watched several documentaries about grenade and how strong the pin is, it made me wonder if the character's teeth are super strong. You can pull it out using your hand with strong force though.
DOORLOCK UNLOCKED WITH A GUN
Remember the scene in The Conjuring where the chief breaks down the door using his gun so that the Warrens and the husband can get through in? I actually wonder if there is a padlock in there or just the knob of the door. Although some scenes are for the purpose of dramatization, some audience take a look at it as true since the movie is based on real life events. I already know that guns can't take out the lock, even a small bullet since the locks are made out of iron, unless they are not. It made me wonder on other movies who put scenarios like this one. Well, maybe they just took it out from other movies too but if some sucks at doing it.
CLONING THROUGH DNA SAMPLES
We all love the Jurassic Park and somehow we want to make it come through. You may have heard and saw some scientists claiming that dinosaurs can be brought to life once again through DNA samples. Actually, they can't. Samples don't last that long. The longest lasting one recorded is less than a million years old. Dinosaurs have lived over sixty-five million years ago, so obviously they can't be made again through samples. I have seen a lot of documentaries reporting scientists who found genetic material regarding cloning but those are not proven and are disregarded. Cloning a person might work one day but I don't think it will happen on animals that lived more than a million years ago. Maybe, time travelling can do.
