Yes ginisang mungo is one of the favorite Filipino dish that is loved by many. This dish makes use of monggo beans as the main ingredient complimented by different flavors from meat, seafood, and vegetables. A very healthy and satisfying dish that is friendly on the budget.
And because of that, we cooked this dish earlier for our dinner. Let me share how we cook it.
First we need to sauté the garlic,onion, and tomato.
Then we add pata ng baboy cooked until brown for like 5-10 mins. Then we add water and the monggo beans simmer until becomes soft (about 35 to 1 hour ). Then add the seasonings like magic sarap, salt, malungay leaves and eggplant, wait a for a few more minutes and it's done!
Sorry medyo napadami po ang water, masyadong madaming sabaw. But what's important is still masarap!
