Salt Making in Our Place Ever wondered how salt is made? I want to share what we do here in our place. Salt is a mineral composed primarily of sodium chloride (NaCl), a chemical compound belonging to the larger class of salts; salt in its natural form as a crystalline mineral is known as rock salt or halite. Salt is essential for life in general, and saltiness is one of the basic human tastes. Salt is one of the oldest and most ubiquitous food seasonings, and salting is an important method of food preservation. Salt making is one of the main source of living here in our community when summer comes. When I was a kid we used to help our parents do this but my parents were getting old so we no longer have this. You need to harvest this during noontime or at 1pm when the sun is too hot. These are fishponds turned into a salt making spot. I remember during summer vacations after school, we were doing this and every time I go back to school, my skin was burned. I'm too dark. 🤣 But we are also paid for this so I saved money from it for me to buy some stuffs. 💓 I remember there was a time that December or January we already started the salt making but as times goes by and also because of climate change they just started this March, but rain still sometimes pour. And that what salt makers hate, the rain. One thing you shouldn't bring when you go here, don't bring umbrella even it's too hot, or else you will be scolded. 😅 We wear long sleeves shirts and pants to protect us. This work is hard, you need to wake up early morning and go here to add some water. Before noontime you need to go back to sprinkle some water again. And in harvest time, you need to collect those salt put in a container. Then water again. The salt needs to be dry first before it can be sold to buyers. I have ask one of the salt makers today, the price of the salt right now is 350 per sack since there a few salts pa. But when tome comes they can harvest more the price also goes down.

Good morning everyone . 😊 I was not so active yesterday because my points are freezing for how many days already so I give it a break. 😁 Bago napagod lang sya. 🤣 But when I open it today, there's .06. So I checked my notifs, and yey! 😍 got an upvote. Thank you very much☺ ng dahil sa inyo nagkalaman wallet ko. 😚

@Japzuey

Ang points ko parang coke. ZERO🤣 Hahaha di ki alam kung anung prob sa account ki, it's been a week na di umaabot sa 50 points ko kahit magpost ako articles at magcomment ng mahaba. Nag boost na waley pa din effect. Goodnight na nga lang. Napagod ako kakalakad kanina. 😁

Laswa Hey yow, wazzup! It's lunch time. Let's eat. 😊 Here's our viand every sunday, too much meat on weekends kaya eto pampawala umay. Laswa is an ilonggo boiled vegetable. I only seasoned it with salt. I added small dried fish here, you can also add bagoong if you want. It is an inexpensive and very easy to cook dish,  you can add whatever vegetables you have on hand. I used papaya, okra, string beans, saluyot and malunggay leaves. These are the veggies that are available in our garden. You can add more veggies you want. Let's eat. 😊 Don't skip your meals . Laban lang kahit 0.0 pa din points! 🤣

@Japzuey

Harvester Good morning everyone. 😊 When I got our of our room I was so curious why is it that there are lots of people outside the street, so I went out of our house and saw this. It's harvest time and they used harvester to do it. People were curious how it works because it's the first time that it was used here. Usually humans were the one who harvest the ricefield here. The advantages of using this harvester is that is easier and faster to harvest the rice, less people to operate. Because in manual harvest, it needs lot of people and it will take time to finish this. The thresher needs to wait for the people to finish harvesting before they can start there work. The disadvantages of using this machine for me is that people can no longer have a part of this, it's also a little help for them to sustain a living. It will be a great help for their needs especially the rice. The main source of living here in our place is farming and fishing. Anyways, we need to accept the fact that the world is changing. Technologies are evolving fast. We need to accept changes especially for the development. That's all folks. 😁 Have a nice day. Btw, the weather is perfectly fine as you can see in the picture. And the clouds, as always I see them as a cotton candy. 🤣 I'm hungry now, so let's eat!

@Japzuey

Pancit Yum, yum. 😋😋 How's everyone? Good afternoon. Let's eat! This is it, pansit! 😁 My mother cooked this food. It is pinoy food usually served every birthdays, as they it is for long life. 😅 Love to eat this one, especially if their are lot of veggies. 😍

@Japzuey

The first step to enjoy your life is to stop comparing yourself with others and start being thankful for who you are. ☺ Have a nice day pips!

Photography Hi everyone. Wazzup? Been busy today because I baked cake and cupcakes, yey! Another income.😁 I just want to share to you my captured pictures earlier while I was riding a motorcycle. 😁 No worries, I'm used to it and my father drive slowly. Motorcycle is one of the most used public transportation here in our municipality. You can seldom see tricycles and their are only few jeepneys right now because of the pandemic, their are only few passengers. It is so cloudy earlier that I want to pick and it just like cotton candy. Hahaha, I just miss eating it. 😁. Here are some of my shots using my mobile phone. This is what we can see if we go out of our house. 😊 Their are wind turbines and mountains. On the right turbine, it is used to be a hill so if you go up there you can see our whole municipality. The view on the top is wonderful. You can see hills, the other turbines and the sea. Many tourist have visited here before pandemic came. See? Haha. My Father is busy driving, while I'm busy taking pictures 🤣. No traffic 👌 They call that one "tura-tura", it is used to transport rice or whatever they want to. 🤣 I still remember when I was a kid when rode a bike in this hill, even if you don't pedal a lot you can still reach that turbine there because it is so high. But today, it's not that high anymore because it's already a concrete road. Hope you like what I shared. 😁 I'm not a pro photographer nor editor. Just a frustated one. Hahaha. Enjoy the rest of the day fellas! Keep safe. 😉

Good Morning Don't wake up with the regret of what you couldn't accomplish yesterday. Wake up while thinking about what will be able to achieve today. Good Morning!

@Japzuey

Long Lost One *Treasured friend as I considered* *Always there every time I'm defeated* *Often lends a hand before I ask it* *Cheers me up and say "I did it"* *But why do I feel this way?* *You made me trance every time you look at me* *Your smiles took me in place of "I don't know"* *There's something special that flows* *Intensely "admired" that's what I feel for you* *Losing this feelings? I can't even do* *Ebullient emotions became visible to you* *Time passed by and by, departed too* *Here I am now going alone* *Finding my place of my own* *Anticipating you'll come* *But still there's none* --Japz _________________________ Any thoughts about my poem? May naka relate ba? 😅 Anyways, good morning everyone. Have a nice day ahead!

@Japzuey

Good evening everyone! It's raining hard in here. Thanks God! We really need this rain, we're waiting for since last week. So that we no longer need to rent for a water pump to have our ricefield watered. We need to plant our 2nd crop of rice.

@Japzuey

Tired but we enjoyed, especially the kids. ♥️ And I want to share with you some of my captured photos using my mobile phone. After this will also help prepare for our family dinner later. 😬 I used panorama for this one to capture the whole place. It’s just like an island but it’s not🤣 I used portrait for these pictures. I loved flowers, I am always amuzed of their beauty even it is just a simple flower. I am not a photographer, just a frustated one. 🤣 and I’m not also good in editing, still practicing on it. most of the pictures are unedited . 😊 And about that covid thing, no worries there are only few case here in our island and they are controlled. Resorts are permitted to open but only limited to small groups. We are the only visitors their earlier. 😁 It’s only less an hour travel.

We Heal as One (Poem) Many things have changed this past few months. Many of us are being affected by this virus. People loss jobs and worst,their love ones. As I was laying down here in my bed many thoughts keep coming on my mind so I decided to right it down. And here is what I came up to, a poem. ☺️ We Heal As One *The world is in chaos* *Because of this corona virus* *Many people are dying* *Which is very alarming* *We need to stay at home* *Obey rules and regulations* *For us not to be infected* *Because we have our family that need to be protected.* *Big thanks to our frontliners* *Who undoubtedly risk their lives during this disaster* *They are also humans who gets tired and exhausted* *So be responsible individual is what they wished* *For covid patients who are fighting for their lives, be strong* *You can win this battle, not so long* *Discrimination is never the key* *Instead support them and pray* *We can win this battle against this pandemic* *Let us unite and cooperate to end this tragic* *We will heal as one!* *We can do this , everyone.* _____________________________ Hope you'll like it. If you have something to say about this feel free to comment. I accept suggestions/criticism. ☺️ We have only one life, better be safe than sorry. ☺ Let us cherish every moment we have with our love ones, we can longer do that when they will be gone. Keep safe everyone, this pandemic will end soon. 🙏

Moonlight 🌕 Hello everyone. Sharing to what I captured earlier. These are raw photos, no edits, no filters. ❤️ It was so bright outside our house. And I get out to look for the moon, and saw this. The sky is clear, that we can see the full moon. Its at the back of our house. As you can see there's a wind turbine at the picture. There is a windfarm here in our place, there are 27 turbines. It creates energy and converted into electricity. That's all for today folks. Goodnight and have a good rest. ❤️

Sweet Delights Good evening. How's everyone? Been busy today because it my niece's birthday celebration. I helped in preparing foods. I also baked a simple birthday cake, it's a chocomoist cake w/ chocolate frosting. Still practicing on how to decorate cakes using fondant and buttercream frosting, so for now I only use some toppers. Kids always love to pick up some sweets and it everytime I do it, especially nips. 😁 I also made some banana cupcakes with chocolate chips. 😋😋 I am also accepting orders here in our place for these, a little help especially during this pandemic. I only learned how to bake by watching YouTube videos and joining groups in Facebook. I maximize my time and internet doing this things and it help me a lot. ❤️

Life Goes On You walk away So you could pay The pain you brought With your fake serenity Never thought I found myself Because losing you was beyond great I'm happy and contented with myself Our memories will never fade The rain had stopped, And Rainbow appeared The face of you slowly fades Because life goes on at it was made Happiness and security was found Despite of what you've done When I move on and left that behind A smile comes back just like sunshine Hope you will like it. Sleep Paralysis You never really understand something unless you experience it yourself. I have experienced sleep paralysis for how many times. It scared me a lot when it happened to me for the first time. It was horrible!🥺 This strange phenomenon of sleep paralysis occurs when you wake up suddenly and are completely unable to move or speak. For some reason, most people who experience it also have a feeling of being “watched,” and it’s usually terrifying. People describe demons, alien visitors, and spirits in the dark room with them. Even though it’s really just a trick of the mind, the idea of a stranger watching you in the middle of the night is definitely unsettling. During sleep paralysis you may feel: awake but cannot move, speak or open your eyes like someone is in your room like something is pushing you down frightened These feelings can last up to several minutes. It's not clear why sleep paralysis can happen but it has been linked with: insomnia disrupted sleeping patterns – for example, because of shift work or jet lag narcolepsy – a long-term condition that causes a person to suddenly fall asleep post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) general anxiety disorder panic disorder Things you can do to help prevent sleep paralysis: try to regularly get 6 to 8 hours of sleep a day go to bed at roughly the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning get regular exercise, but not in the 4 hours before going to bed The first time I have experienced this, I really don't know what to do. I prayed a lot . I thought I wouldn't wake up anymore. Good thing I have read an article about this one, and show some tips how to handle it. So everytime I experienced this, I would relax myself. I make sure I could move my big toe and pray. It works for me. Hope this article could help people who experience this also. If you have another suggestions, feel free to comment. 😊

Longest Christmas Celebration in the World Good morning everyone. It's just the first of September but we can already hear Christmas songs here. Do you that Philippines has the longest celebration in the world? Let me share it with you. The **Christmas** season is one of the most celebrated holidays all throughout the world. There's nothing like celebrating Christmas in the Philippines. In fact, it is in this country that Christmas is being celebrated the longest. As soon as the month of September steps in, people in the Philippines starts to clean up and ready their Christmas decorations. When you go shopping at the mall, you would start to hear Christmas songs played on stores. Not only will you hear Christmas carols, you would start to see Christmas ornaments or flowers go on early sale for the season. You can also see Christmas lanterns display. There are a lot of tradition that comes with celebrating the Christmas season in the Philippines which also explains why they prepare for this event early on. It's a common tradition to give lavishly on this season because Filipinos believe that when you give, you get more blessings in return. So buying books or gifts for colleagues, friends, and family, or toys for children starts as early as October. It's also the time of the year when Filipinos working overseas would start to send goods for gift giving in the Philippines. The Noche Buena or the Christmas feast that happens on the eve of December 24 also requires prior preparation. Reservations for common Christmas staple such as lechon, Christmas ham, Queso de Bola or cheese ball, and other ingredients for special Filipino dishes served during this season are highly in demand so people starts to buy them early as well. Not all Filipino families celebrate Christmas in a traditional way though. While other families choose to go home to their hometowns to be with their loved ones, some groups choose to go someplace else to celebrate the holiday. So out of town resorts and even out of country travel packages are also highly in demand during this season. The celebration of Christmas in the Philippines go on full blast right after All Saint's Day. By this time, bonuses have been released and Christmas bazaars in every corner of the market have sprung up already. People start being a little kinder than the usual, and greeting everyone with a warm smile becomes more common. Indeed you'll know that the Christmas spirit can be felt all over the country. In December, Filipinos still observed the tradition of visiting different churches either early in the morning or late at night. After that, it's also tradition to eat breakfast or late snack on food stands outside churches that sell bibingka, putobumbong, and batirol (hot chocolate). The Christmas season in the Philippines does not end after the 25th of December. It officially ends on January 6 where they celebrate the feast for the three kings. That's the only time that most people would start to clean up and put away their Christmas decors that's been on display as early as September. So in total, Christmas season in the Philippines lasts for about 4 months, making it the longest Christmas celebration in the world. SUBSCRIBE, LIKE & COMMENT 😊
