Covid-19 shutdowns small and big companies in the Philippines

More than hundreds and thousands of employee lost their jobs as the Covid-19 pandemic cases is still rising in the Philippines. More than 2,000 company decided to permanently closed their establishment while 1,875 and more others reduced their workforce according to DOLE.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation (PSPC) said on Thursday (August 13) that their permanently shutting down its refinary in Batangas, after decades of operations in the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Another company that is affected by the covid-19 pandemic is the OKADA Manila. Okada Manila is one of the Philippines integrated resort and casino that is also affected amid of the covid-19 crisis. Okada Manila informed it's team that more than 1,000 employees will be lay-off due to the ongoing suspension of operation.

But amids of being poor of the poorest, lost their jobs, and being laid-off, Pilipino people still look for the brighter future that soon this covid-19 pandemic will be gone and all will be back to normal.

No one ever think and not even in my wildest dream that this pandemic will ever happened. Its effect is great, many lives lost, brilliant and good men and women were gone unexpectedly leaving their families in misery. Many facing in hunger due to loss of jobs and the nations economy was greatly affected and on deep neck debt.
