Learn Austrian Economics For Free

Hello everyone,

Perhaps you are like me and you discovered Bitcoin / Bitcoin Cash without any real knowledge of economics before, Austrian economics in particular.

If you have been in this space now for even a short period of time I am sure you have heard the term Austrian economics, well I am going to write a guide in how you can learn from some of the greatest thinkers and teachers the World has ever seen for free thanks to the Mises Institute!

I am so grateful for discovering the teachings of people such as Murray Rothbard, Ludwig Von Mises and Henry Hazlitt to name a few since discovering Bitcoin. This has only strengthened my belief that the invention of Bitcoin is one of the best things to have happened to mankind, it is honestly a travesty that the schooling system doesn't encourage debate around Austrian economics or Libertarianism.

We have been indoctrined since a young age into a certain way of thinking, a way of thinking that essentially wants us to believe the State is good, the State knows best and we should never question the state!

Well thank God for Bitcoin and it putting me on a path of free thinking and a path of discovery to Libertarianism!

So now, here is a great way I hope many of you will go and discover this message for yourself.

Step One

Go to https://mises.org/

Step Two

Navigate to the books section, where you will see featured categories of some of the most popular topics.

Step Three

So having selected "Rothbard Books" I can now browse a list of various books and essays by the great man and pick which format I wish to download this in, for this example I will choose PDF.

Step Four

Having selected PDF a tab like this should open and allow you to freely download this book so you can read it at your own leisure.

Now if you are like me, reading from a PDF on a laptop or monitor isn't the best so I will now show you how you can take this file and convert it to read it on your Kindle device much more comfortably!

Step Five

Navigate on over to https://calibre-ebook.com/

and then click download Calibre and install as per the requirements for your device

Step Six

Having installed Calibre you can now load up the software and click add books and locate the PDF file you downloaded from the Mises Institute and then click convert books which will allow you to convert this to AZW3 which is the file type needed to be read on a Kindle.

Step Seven

Just to confirm this is the output you want, AZW3 and you can fill in the title and authors name as you wish, although this is 99 times out of 100 already prefilled for you.

Step Eight

Done! You can now locate a folder which will be titled the same as the book you have converted and within it, it should contain the following files.

Now simply copy this folder and paste it onto your kindle when it is connected to your laptop or computer and you can now go and read the works of some of the smartest men the World has ever seen just as if you had purchased the book from Amazon for your kindle!

The Mises Institute accept donations in Bitcoin Cash and a few other cryptocurrencies and so if you do find value in the content they provide for free I would encourage you to consider a donation to them.
