Hola, Buenos dias! How are you today? Today I will be sharing with you my thoughts on the upcoming elections. It’s my personal opinion only. As I am fed up with the ongoing news for the upcoming elections, sometimes I wonder if it is really worth paying attention to. Our attention Everyone is outraged, even fighting on social media platforms. Different choices, but only one goal, and that is having an anti-corrupt leader. That's it! Corruption can happen anywhere, and it is our nation's main problem. Our country is considered rich and progressive, but we didn't live by that because of the corrupt politicians. Have you ever wondered why we are experiencing massive unemployment, rising prices for basic necessities, and a slew of other issues? Another thing here is that we worked hard, but we were paid less. Where is the justice? What's the use of the law here? Well, it is not applicable to everyone. In short, it's unfair! These problems were addressed in their promises to us if we voted for them. Do you believe it yourself? Do we have to? Hopefully, this time we will elect the right person who will effect positive change. But how do we know who is the right one when they all make convincing promises and platforms? We need to carefully analyze each one of them. I think it's inappropriate to just vote for someone because he/she is our relative or even our favorite celebrity. Does this reason make sense at all? My family and I have different candidates for every election, but we respect each other's choices. Unlike what's happening to our fellow countrymen who prefer bashing and arguing. Do they really need to do that? Is it worth fighting for? I don't think so. After all, most politicians don't value us after they are elected. The rich people are the priority, and the less fortunate come last. It's still happening and I think it won't stop unless we choose someone who is passionate, understands its people, and thinks best for us and not one who is selfish and greedy. We also need to stop selling our votes to them, because upon doing so, they will use what’s supposed to be for us to replace how much they spend on votes. In the end, we will be the ones who suffer. I keep on hearing people saying that politics in the Philippines sucks! I think instead of saying this, why not make a change? It’s no use to keep on complaining when you know that you didn’t make the right decision. I hope that in the upcoming election, we will make a conscious effort not to be greedy. Let’s all vote wisely! Vote buying is not acceptable! Let there be unity and peace so we can have a better future ahead of us. We will be flying back to our province on May 8th to vote and will make a quick visit to our old house. It’s been 4 months since typhoon Odette hit. Hopefully, things are back to the way they were. This election is going to be different because there will be no shades from nature, which is the trees. It’s all been destroyed by the typoon. I personally planned to cast my vote around 3 pm, when it’s not too hot to go out. Anyway,In our town, politics doesn’t seem right either. Political dynasties are happening even if they are not allowed by the law. In these politicians' reigns, few infrastructures were made, which led people to think that our town was in progress. They based it all on those certain projects without considering the other issues. I think our town needs investors to create more jobs for its people. Unemployment can make people's lives harder. and promote tourism too. Tourists bring more income for our entrepreneurs. That’s all for today guys, see you next time!I have someting to do for now, will be packing our stuff.Need to sort out things me and the kids will be bringing.See you soon,Leyte! Tener un buen dia por delante..Cuidate.
