Beach and Friends

The sun is up and the heat is on. It's a beautiful weekend to finally make our long time planned gathering with some friends and workmates be true.

It's a Saturday and no work since its a holiday in our company. This gathering is just a get together we planned long time ago since we have a sponsor who give us a big share for our foods. We just make a small contribution of 50pesos each for our cottage and other needs because some also pledges to bring some food. Well, this is always usual to us that some bring foods to share and this makes our gathering like a big party.

Early we exchange messages with the group about who will be there first to grill the pork and fish. Actually, I attend my daughter's meeting early so I let my colleague dropped by to bring the paperplates and utensils I pledge for me. After my daughter's meeting, I went directly to the beach to help them and so I did help grill the pork and fish. It was tiring a bit but I ask permission to leave and be back since hubby and the kids are waiting. Well, hubby have a his culminating activity of his Tesda NC II Driving thus we just arrange to have lunch together and be there on the beach later. Then hubby will follow also after his activity.

The foods are plenty and they even bring some pan and butane so they cooked the lumpia and fries on the beach. The baked scallops was unexpected as someone bring in as a surprise. We bring our families too so the kids will surely love the fries and other finger foods. We have other foods like cooked banana but I wasn't able to capture it anymore since we consume it first.

Though it rains later in the afternoon, th party goes on. We have karaoke and some mix alcohol drinks. I want to sing but I was busy with my kids and I skip drinking too only hubby does. After some gets tipsy, the dancing and singing have more laughs and fun. We did really enjoy this non working day.

Closing Thoughts

It is a day where we set in this one great gathering out of our busy schedule. It was tiring but we all have fun. After more than 2 years, we again make another pagr to keep in our memory lane. Nice to have more like this in the coming months and years. As we wrap up our Saturday, the beach with our family and friends makes it all worth the fun. Happy memories to add more fun in our lives.
