Best friend

Friendship is a whole new world entirely, it is built on a pillar of trust, care, and respect. It is one that people hope would last forever but most times are cut short due to certain differences, shortcomings, and sudden disruption. Other times, it is caused by the distance between friends. But in all friendships come in variations and differ in several ways. I most times classify my friends into best friends and normal friends. Of course, not everyone falls into the best friend range, in fact, only a few if not just one fall into that classification. I will just state my preferred differences.

Best friends are not people you can do without. They are the ones who are always there for you both in ups and downs. They are the ones who come in handy when you need someone to express your thoughts, emotions, and feelings too. Best friends are like your earth guide. They always have your back no matter what, they always stay by you, they never let you down even at the dying moments of life. If I were to describe my best friend in a few words it would be; being an interesting gist partner. In fact, it can’t beat that part, you are still my best friend but I really like talkative friends because I don’t talk much but I love listening to a lot especially when you have a lot to talk about. Then my best friend has to have a big ear to listen to all my worries, my complaints as well as my rules and regulations if there are any. You must actually listen to me wholeheartedly and not see me as someone who nags and complain a lot. My best friend also has to be someone who has earned my trust easily but not by deceit. Someone who has earned my care and respect without doing much. Someone I can open up to without withdrawal. Someone who doesn’t give me a warm hug and ends up backstabbing me for no reasonable reason.

My best friend and I have to share similar interests. Nobody wants to have a friend who is not interested in making it in life, no one wants to have a friend who is wayward and does not have life plans. Anyway, my best friend can never be like that because she has me around. Life plans form the base of ones living and are entirely responsible for major achievements as well as major backslides in life.

Then, friends, they are just there for a period of time. They come and go at any time, most times they end up backing out of your life because of a little misunderstanding. Most times friends just don’t just understand things from your own perspective. Other times friends would be the ones gossiping about you rather than standing by you and fighting for you in times of trouble.

When telling your best friend something rather confidential, you don’t have to tell her it is, she knows all of that but with your friends, you still how to explain how confidential what you want to tell them is. Most times you aren’t even sure if or not to tell them because you are afraid it might get leaked out to someone you don’t want to hear it. Most friends fail to realize the importance of correcting their friends when they begin to deviate, be it in place of work, school, life decision, and mode of living but your best friend never fails in such a duty because they always want the best for you in all you do. They never let you set the wrong foot down.

Best friends are great for company, fun, and being supportive and the idea of being your soul mate never sounds absurd to them in fact they are willing to stand by you day in day out. Friends get tired of being around you and move on after a period of time but best friends are irreplaceable they endure your bad habits, obsessions, and your bad days, they would never walk out of your life for no reason.

They are always there for you. Friends may be happy when you get a major achievement like weddings, promotions, and birthdays but your best friend would be over cloud nine and even be happier than you.

Best friends are always one of the most caring people you can find in the world. They didn’t just earn the title best for nothing, it was earned after a lot of shared memories, tears, joy, and happiness. Best friends are really God’s chosen.
