BCHpizza is a platform dedicated to encouraging merchant adoption of Bitcoin Cash as a means of payment. The platforms target at the moment is Pizza establishments. Members post BCH bounties to reward a pizza shop in the major cities of all continent. A pizza establishment located within the city can then claim half of the bounty prize by commencing acceptance of Bitcoin Cash for payment. The other half of the prize will go to the individual that convinced the pizza shop to start accepting Bitcoin Cash.

This bounty prize can motivate some members of the bitcoin cash community to put in more effort in their spread of BCH awareness and to approach as well as convince Pizza establishments in their cities to accept BCH. And if you can't do the convincing part, you can create bounty offers for your city, to encourage others to promote Bitcoin cash adoption by the pizza establishments in your city.

The offer cuts across more than 100 major cities around the globe. No continent is left out of the list. The cities chosen in the various countries of each continent are not necessarily the biggest - the presence of Bitcoin Cash community and in particular, the existence of Bitcoin cash meetup groups were the major criteria.

About the Project

Who are Behind the Project?

The people behind the project are Kain_niaK and some other Bitcoin Cash enthusiasts.

Why BCHpizza.org?

The brains behind bchpizza.org are big-time Bitcoin cash enthusiasts and the platform is one of their ways of promoting merchant adoption of BCH.

Why is this project only for pizza?

Remember the first bitcoin transaction was for pizza, why not keep the meme going and come to think of it, who doesn't like pizza? The project had to start somewhere and by targeting only a pizza establishment, it will have more focus and buzz. The platform is trying to bring Bitcoin cash to the world one pizza slice & satoshi at a time.

Why Bitcoin Cash, and not BTC?

It's simple, Bitcoin Cash is the real bitcoin. It is a better fit for merchants adoption as a means of payment because it is committed to being a peer to peer electronic cash system and it has consistently low fees. Whereas its counterpart, BTC is unreliable due to congestion and erratic fees.

About Placing Bounties

People can post bounties on the platform based on location (city) and it will be open to all pizza establishment in that city, awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The people who reach out to pizza business places and onboard them to claim the bounty will get half of the prize.

The minimum bounty prize is 0.01 BCH.

About Claiming Bounties

How do you decide if a bounty was rightfully earned?

The claimant will provide video proof which will be reviewed by the BCHPizza team, and a decision will be made based on the video sent.

What happens if two pizza outlets try to claim the same bounty at the same time?

In a case when two ore more merchants claim the same bounty on the same day, the bounty size will be split evenly and distributed to qualified merchants.

What happens once a merchant collects the bounty for a city?

When a pizza place successfully collects a bounty, it will be listed on BCHpizza.org as a BCH merchant. As the bounty has been claimed users can post additional bounties to be claimed by other pizza establishments in the same city.

Looks like there is some more to say about https://bchpizza.org/faq.php

  • Under "About the project" it is stated that https://www.reddit.com/u/Kain_niaK is a creator of this project, though the account is deleted at the time being.
  • Under "About claiming bounties" it is stated that "When a pizza shop collects a bounty, it will be proudly listed on our site as a BCH merchant." And even though at the home page there are listed claimed bounties for Barquisimeto and Maracaibo, Venezuela, Nyeri, Kenya and Osaka, Japan, I can not find any merchants listed.
