governments policy:government has not made it in anyway make mathematics as as u he an easy task to learn in school.There Is no improvement in the area of mathematics teaching a learning in the classroom,what i mean by this is that government has not improve the standard of learning mathematics in schools.In the sense of funding the educational sector on behalf of mathematics to bring in modern learning aids/instructional materials that will yield effective teaching and learning of mathematics.
Since there is nothing like this ,it hasnt not help students in learning mathematics and passing it well in the schools.
Another vital one is the teacher;most teachers are not competent enough to teach mathematics and its not that they dont know it but they dont know what its takes to teach mathematics and at the end of the class brings out effective teaching and learning.lets check this simple illustration,most private schools do not employ an education teacher due to high salary payments.They rather employ non-educational teachers which doesnot know the rudiments of teaching.Thewe people only take teaching as an optional job.
Most private schools will employ civil engineer to teach mathematics because he know mathematics very well which is not supposed to be.
A civil engineer can not Carryout maximum effective teaching and learning in the classroom compared to that of a trained personnel who studied mathematics education.
So therefore,this factor also affects students in school.
