Poverty is a long-time problem around the planet and it’s getting of out control. Many people from different countries are struggling every day to survive and to raise their families. Even with the joined effort of many government and non-government organizations, those families are getting less and less attention every year. People from different parts of the world are more aware of such nonsense and fake news and drowning their selves in privilege while many people are suffering every day just to eat at least one meal per day and they are doing it since the day they were raised.

What is Poverty?

Poverty is a condition in which a person lacks the financial and essentials for a minimum standard living. People in poverty are those with income coming from their jobs or employment which is so low that they can`t afford basic human needs like housing, clean water, sustainable electricity, healthy foods, and medical support.

“Poverty is like disease, that spread like a cancer and its hard to control”

The Truth About Poverty

  • There are 783 million people live in extreme poverty

The count of people under poverty is still increasing nowadays, because of many factors including the occurrence of Covid -19 that leave many people loosing there jobs. With out these jobs there will be no income and the people will be forced to use their savings until there’s nothing left.

The government help others during enhance community quarantine by giving financial support for two months but the quarantine is already 7 months, and yet a lot of people don’t get any support at all.

  • One billion people live without electricity

  • Poverty on a global scale begins after the Second world war, and until now this problem is still growing and give sufferings to many people.

  • People living a community under poverty acquire less education.

More than 72 million children of elementary education are not in school.

some community don`t have their own school for the children to go. in some places here in the Philippines, many students will travel far by means of walking and some swim or ride boats to get across the river just to go to the neares school. Some students dont even wear shoes or slippers while walking, some don’t have a proper clothing or uniforms. Those were the few reasons why people under poverty have a hard time to acquire education.

Some students undergoing with this situation, they would choose to quit, not because they dont have any dreams or they just don`t want to. They stop going back to school because it’s hard, they would rather choose to help their parents to earn some money to fill there stomach for a day rather than walking many miles just to get to school.

  • They don`t have access to clean water, nutritious foods, and medical support.

Poverty is the major cause of hunger in many parts of the world and every year 9 million people die of hunger, that’s more than the death from AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined. The reasons are unemployment and paid in low salary, war, harsh environment, corruption in the country, and many more. And that’s the very reason why they can`t afford basic needs in every day life. And some of them live in very isolated area such us near the mountains, because they cannot afford the expenses in the city.

There are 5 million people die every year because of poor quality medical care.

There are 3.6 million people die from not having any medical care at all and there is an estimated 1.5 billion people live without access to better sanitation and medical support.

The news and the internet never showed us what poverty is or if it is real, they don’t broadcast it in the television because they are ashamed that a peaceful country is not just enough. They don`t mentionit in churches becuase they cant take some action while speaking of God because they know that many people give up faith.

Sadly those people don`t choose to be there, to be under poverty. Those people are just the result of a bigger problem tha many of us cant see. The selfish action of different country that affect the majority of people is like how the powerful countries wage war to one other that leave only pain and sufferings, the corruption of many officials to satisfy their greed and gluttony, the unending abuse to the environment leaving climate change and the unequal treatment that breeds hatred.

There is a deeper meaning when I say “there are bigger secrets behind colorful walls in the city” because the government hide the slums so we can`t see what kind of suffering that those people are living in.

There are large amount of people suffering every day so just they can fill their stomach, and we can help them, help doesn`t need to be always money help can be in a form of bringing awareness so everyone will know that their are people living under poverty.

“No matter how small the help is, it is help no matter what happens”

“Be aware and you`ll see the reality in every lie”

From my point of view, poverty is closely linked to politics. I have seen how many countries, after catastrophes, or wars, such as: Germany or Japan, today are great powers. While in my country, Argentina, we are from crisis to crisis, without being in any situation of war or natural disasters. Perhaps, in these countries there is poverty, but it does not compare to that of Argentina, which is almost 50%. It is time to discuss ideas and choose the best course for the countries. Many speak of the famous "Redistribution of wealth" as the solution to poverty. And guys, that in Argentina, has been applied for years and poverty continues to increase. From now on, I loved your article.

Yes, politics contribute to poverty. In politics there Are corruption, conflict and selfishness. One of the big solution we can do to reduce and eventually end poverty is we start to elect people who truly want to help other people, elect people who cares and know what is happening. Elect people who you think can really make change. And help me spread awareness to other people about this kind of issue. We can start a change by spreading awarenss. Thank you bery much for your time
