Justice
Short word but has a bigger and deeper meaning. We always hear it at the radio and television, but do we really know what Is the meaning of justice?. Justice is the quality of being just, equitableness and righteousness. It is different in every region of the word through meaning and action, with many different perspective justice can be change including the different concepts of moral correctness based on ethics, they also differ in rationality, law and religion.
Justice differs in every cultures, in Ancient Greek there are man theories of justice based on the writings of Plato in his book “ The Republic” and the writings of Aristotle in his “ Nicomachan Ethics”. But some people believe in the divine command theory, that justice is issued by the God.
In the course of history justice differ in meaning some believe that justice is based on the best outcomes for the greatest number of people, some believed that justice can only exist within the coordinates of equality and some said that justice is a form of fairness. But something never change, justice is to give people what they really deserve.
But in reality justice is now a big joke in many parts of the world, many people are dying every day and with their case are left unsolved. Many families mourn day and night from the death of there love one and nothing happen since then. Women being raped, the eyes of justice is shut closed and while saying that the woman dressed inappropriately that why it happen. Farmers being killed while fighting for their right in the land they work for through their life, and when the times come that there are food shortage who will we call?
Justice for Rape Victims
- In Philippines alone in every 100,000 population there is 10 cases of rape since 2014, and six of those ten are raped and killed, almost 4 of those cases are still open and the culprit is still in loose. Those 4 sex offenders that are not caught will more likely to repeat the same sin that they did and it will never end until proper justice is given. The rape cases is growing since then by 19.08 percent and every year this percentage is getting higher and higher.
- There are 91 rape cases on average reported daily in the world.
- Almost all people are target of rape. Ages 7 to 34 are the highest risk of being raped. Age 7 children are more likely to be silent that to say that they are sexually molested. And that is one of the biggest problem.
Justice for the Kids that until now are Lost
- There are nearly 50,000 children are going missing each year, that`s 137 children a day. Thankfully majority oh this children returned to their homes safely, but the small portion of the 50,000 never came home until now. What happened to them is still a mystery and left their family with pain and broken heart.
- There are some cases that the missing child will be found after several days after the day of abduction, but the child is dead and his/her internal organs are harvested. Rumors said that the organs of the children are being sell. There are no evidence about it yet but the authority is still considering it.
Justice for those Who died under Police Brutality
- Justice for those people who die innocent under police brutality. Many people rages after the death 2 Gregorio family member under police violence. There is a clear evidence that the police shot those 2 innocent people point blank and die immediately. the incident happened in broad day light with people around. But now that police in behind bars. But what if there no video evidence? What will be the report of the Philippines National Police.
- There are many incident like this that are not done yet, and still the family of them is longing for justice.
Every day there are many crimes and cases that are left open, but why? What is the cause of it? Justice is not for any one who needs it?
Sadly, justice is not for anyone. As I said now a day justice is just a big joke. Justice is just for the rich now, justice is for those who posses power, justice is just for those people who have influence. When the poor beg and cry for justice no one will listen, when the powerless beg for justice, no one will listen.
Many people take justice in their own hand, when a member of the family was killed and they know who is the killer, they will take action and kill the other family, and the cycle will begin. In the Philippines is almost normal and it can go on for many years. This action will just breed more and more pain and hate. They do this because they know that justice has a price, they know that when they seek for justice, they will not see it.
That’s how justice works in many parts of the world, it is sad but it is true. Many people will choose to be silent in this kind of topic and let it slide. But after all the killings and all the crimes it gets more and more disturbing and we become more and more silent about it. Don`t wait until one of our love ones and family member be a victim of it, now lets take a stand and put end to this.
I think is the right time to take action. Lets spread awareness to the world so they can see what the real problem is. Enough with the fake peace, enough feeding people lies. Make a voice, it ill be a big help, bring awareness.
