Positive and Negative Facts About Online Class

This August is usually the month of our classes. I would like to share my thoughts about my experiences last year as an online learner student. When Covid-19 Pandemic strikes us the most, especially in our Educational system. Many students, teachers and parents are affected last year with the new normal. So, last year, though we don't have stabled internet connection and gadgets for online classes. But, I and my siblings go in through online learning.

Online class is kind'a hard. Super hard, especially because, we don't have stabled internet connection, lack of gadgets for online classes and it is hard to reach out the teachers and classmates.

So, my observation last year when we go on through online class are.

POSITIVE:

• We don't need to go in School

One positive effect of Online Class is that, we don't need to go in school. I think, it is better because of our situation. And mostly, we can help ourselves to avoid the viruses by staying at home.

• We don't need to spend lots of money

Since, we are online learner and we don't go to school. Mas nakakapagtipid tayo. In terms of tricycle fare, our baon, projects and other school payments. Lalo na sa mga activities like intramurals, nutrition month, and other school activities. Bumaba din ng small amount ang tuition . Bumaba kaya? O tumaas? Hahaha. Lol.

• We can accompany ourselves

If we want to eat something, we can cook it in our house. Like, we can accompany ourselves because, we are in our comfort zone. Kung na C-CR tayo, we can immediately go in the comfort room in our own house. Also, mas nakaka-kain tayo ng mabuti.

• We can Google

Since, we are online class learners. In terms of recitations tapos di natin alam. We can easily get an idea in the google or other online sources. To be honest, I do search in google to wider my knowledge about our lesson. Kasi minsan, hindi lahat na naibibigay sa power point is naiintindihan natin. We can use also different online tools to get an ideas.

• We can continue our learning

As the Pandemic strikes us last year, the government decided to continue our Educational System either modular or online. This crisis is not the hindrance to stop learning. Because, as what they said. We can still learn in our house or by staying at home.

I think that's all the positive sides that I observed. Mas safe din pag nasa bahay lang tayo. At mas na momonitor ng mga parents ang kanilang mga anak dahil nasa bahay lang.

Anyway, this are the Negative facts of Online Learning:

NEGATIVE:

• Give us too much stress

As a student, online class is very hard. It gives me a hardtime to adjust. Not only me, but all of us. In the new normal system, we need adjustment. It gives me stress in terms of internet connectivity, lack of gadgets, financial support, overloaded projects or paper works.

• Lack of Gadgets and Poor Internet Connection

So before, we only used DATA as the source of internet. Napakagastos magpa load. So, my parents find a solution. They bought us a Home Globe Prepaid Wifi. Still, need magpa load. 200 pesos is equals to 8Gb, I think, (please correct me) in which good for 7 days. So every week, we need magpa load. Pero minsan, before 7 days ay nauubos kaagad dahil tatlo kami ang online. Super stress lalo na mag exam or mag recite. Dahil, pag tatawagin na ang name, hindi kaagad maka open ng microphone due to the poor internet connectivity.

But, we are thankful that my parents find another way, because, hindi lang kami ang na i istress but also them. So, they borrowed money sa kakilala nila so that maka connect kami sa PLDT in which every month we need to pay. Okay naman din dahil medj stabled na ang internet connection.

In term of gadgets, we don't have laptops . We used cellphones only. It is very hard to used cellphones especially when creating assignments, power point, projects and so on. Until now, we don't still buy laptop due to lack of financial. If ever I can earn an enough money here. I will buy laptop. Because, its really hard this second time of online classes without proper gadgets.

• Financialy unstabled

Not all people have work. I mean proper or stabled work. We also have stress in terms of our tuitions and other basic needs. Lalo na ngayon dahil sa Pandemic. But, I know na God Will Provide.

• Overloaded Tasks/Lack of Sleeps

Not all teachers are considerate. In our school, they give us overloaded tasks and sometimes we can't pass it in the deadlines. They always said that we need an adjustment. But, as what I can see in our school. We, the students are the only one who tried to adjust in this new normal. They do give us heavy tasks that leads us to lack of sleep, depression, physically unstabled and anxiety.

Many students tries to reach them up and find a solution to lessen the task they given. But, hopefully, this School Year. The Online Class 2.0 will have a better effects and give us peace of mind in doing the tasks they given to us.

Why we don't choose Modular or Offline Learner?

You know, not all students have same intellegence. Not all students has the capacity to be independent. Even I know that we can be independent. Pero, mas nakaka stress kapag binabasa mo lang ang modules at answeran na hindi naman kaagad naiintindihan without teachers to guide you. In my point of view, mas mahirap ang modular which is self study. Hindi tayo makakapag interact sa iba. So, to all Modular and Online Students here. Laban lang! Padayon!

This Pandemic is not the hindrance to continue our dreams. We don't need to waste our time to stay at home without learning something. Ang panahon ay napakabilis lumipas. As we pave towards our success, we need to be strong and face the reality.

Kung minsan hindi tayo nakakapag recite or nakapag answer ng tama sa recitation. We don't need to be stressful dahil nga hindi lahat ng mga students ay pare-pareho ang pag-iisip or matalino. Sana, ngayon is matutong maging considerate ang mga teachers at intindihin ang sitwasyon ng mga students.

Sa school nga namin, I will not mention the name of the school. Hehe. This year, I mean this School Year napaka konte na lang ang mga students na nag enrolled. Just because, they don't handle the students properly last year. Napaka strikto nila the way na maraming umalis na students pagka second semester at nag enroll sa ibang schools. Tapos napakalaki pa din ng tuition, at na include pa din ang mga laboratories, libraries, sports, computer lab and other fees. Maraming mga parents din ang nag rereklamo about this situation. But, I don't why they still include the other fees na hindi naman namin nagagamit. And mostly, naka include din doon sa tuition namin ang 1k for wifi sa school. HAHAHA. In short, per student ay bumabayad ng 1,000 para sa wifi ng school na ginagamit ng mga teachers. Bale, kami pa yung bumbayad sa wifi fee nila. Which is very questionable(?) .
