As we know, that in a person must have a personality. Personality also has many types, ranging from Introvert, Extrovert, Melancholy, to other personalities. Personality can also be equated with traits because personality types and personality traits can indeed be equated. Then, is a person's personality type important to you? Is personality needed in dealing with life's problems? How important is it for us to know and learn about personality?
For me, a person's personality is very important so I continue to study personality in psychology class. There are four reasons for me the importance of personality.
Personality determines the attitude
Yes, a person's personality greatly influences how a person determines his attitude, especially when he is in a problem. For example, people with personalities who tend to be angry will certainly show an attitude of irritation and irritability when faced with something. Or also people with introverted personalities may show an aloof attitude when facing problems, and so on. The attitude you show when you face a problem, or at least when you jump into a social environment, is much influenced by the type of personality you have.
Thinking patterns
Indirectly, your pattern of thinking can also be influenced by personality. No matter how smart you are, when you think, your personality will more or less influence your mindset. You who have a vengeful personality, for example, will always think of revenge when you get into a problem, as well as other personality types.
Troubleshooting
In addition to thinking patterns, problem-solving is also much influenced by your personality. It's not always, but personality often participates in making decisions in solving problems. For example, you are experiencing stress. How do you relieve that stress? For those of you whose personality is grumpy, of course slamming the door, or screaming while angry is one way to solve the problem of stress. For those of you who are introverts, being alone and enjoying solitude is the most enjoyable way to solve stress problems. Another thing for those of you who may have an extroverted personality type, where hanging out with friends is a way to solve the stress problem you are experiencing. Of course, different types of personalities, so different problem-solving that you will do.
Patterns of social interaction
Your social interaction with your environment can also be influenced by your personality. For example, when you are a person with a personality that is openness to experience, then you will certainly find it very easy to make new friends or easy to accept input from others. It's different if you are the type of person with a neuroticism personality, where you may be easily anxious and also easily offended when communicating and interacting with other people.
From the four things above, it can be concluded that personality is one of the most important things in our lives. Personality types are like machines, which drive and influence our daily behavior and attitudes. However, that does not mean other factors have no effect. Psychology believes that there are always multiple factors that influence a person's behavior and attitudes, such as intelligence, parenting, and so on, which are no less important than a person's personality type.
So, that was the reason I considered someone's personality to be important and I had to study it so that I could give the right direction when someone later needed counseling from me. Btw, Thanks for reading this short article. Hopefully useful for you to read
