Yesterday I went with my friend to go to the city of Binjai in North Sumatera since my car was at the repair shop, the two of us went by train. While on the way, one of the passengers on the train was talking to the passenger next to her while complaining about her son who is very difficult to study. If children find it difficult to study in school, it will affect their academic scores.
Where I live, academic achievement is very important and is one of the benchmarks for a child's success in school. However, sometimes some children find it difficult to learn, either because they are lazy and lack motivation, or because they do have weaknesses in learning, for example, mathematics. If this is the case, many parents will "force" their children to take additional lessons so they can take lessons at school. However, this sometimes backfires, because it causes the child to be too tired and "full" of lessons, even though children still need time to play.
Then, what are the effective learning methods for children who have learning difficulties? There are several effective learning methods for children who have learning problems. I hope that every parent can apply this method so that their children can learn effectively and enthusiastically. The first learning method is Group Study. This method can be an effective learning method because, in this group learning method, children are required to be active in learning. Children will feel happier when they can study together with their friends rather than having to study alone. This can help children to be more diligent in studying and be able to deal with the problems of learning difficulties experienced by them.
The second method is "Play While Learning." sounds fun right? Playing is one of the things that children do. Therefore, playing while learning can be an effective learning method for children who have difficulty learning. The point is, the child will be faced with a game that can stimulate his cognitive processes well. Ever heard of the ABC 5 Basic game? Well, this is one method of playing while learning. Instead of playing guessing words, the child will be required to be able to concentrate and recall the information that has been obtained in winning this game. Games such as quizzes, for example, can also be a method of playing while learning that can be applied to children. This will not only stimulate cognitively but will also help the child to have fighting power and high achievement motivation by winning the game.
The last method is "Learning by using the principle of reward and punishment". Don't think of punishment as just physical punishment. Punishment can take the form of eliminating the stimulus that the child likes. For example, the child likes to play games on a smartphone. When the child is lazy to study, the child's playing time will be reduced. It is also a form of punishment. Well, when the child is diligent and wants to learn, then don't forget to give gifts. It can be a favorite toy or provide an opportunity to play even longer. This will increase children's motivation to be able to learn and do their schoolwork.
