When I find myself in times of trouble,
Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness, she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom,
Let it be
When I was a kid, I always wake up to the loud sound from the cassette tape, playing the songs of Beatles. What would you expect? having 5 boys in the house who were all addicted to the Beatles. All my Uncles were huge fans of "The Beatles." I remember, we had different posters of Beatles on every wall in our house. Almost every day, my Uncle would play the Beatle songs and because of that, I grew fond of it. I began to appreciate their songs and even memorized some of them. My favorite was "Let it Be" and "Yesterday". I think I was 8 years old back then when these songs grew on me. I love the soothing melody and the lyrics. It always put me to sleep when I listen to these songs. I remember even borrowing my Uncle's walkman just to listen to their songs.,Hahahaha, nostalgic feels.
The Story
The rock band "The Beatles" formed in 1960 in Liverpool England. The group originally consisted of guitarist John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison along with bassist Stu Sutcliffe and drummer Pete Best. Much of the groups' early time was spent playing shows in Hamburg Germany. McCartney then took on base after set Cliff's 1961 departure and they began recording as the backing band. After meeting their future manager Brian Epstein, the Beatles were signed to EMI's Parlophone label by producer George Martin in 1962. That same year Ringo Starr replaced Best during their first recording session and the classic Beatles lineup was solidified.
All four members contributed vocals but Lennon and McCartney singing and songwriting partnership stood out. The group released two successful singles before their number 1 1963 debut "Please Please Me", and followed that with two more hits "From Me to You" and "She Loves You."
As they toured the UK in 1963, their popularity generated friends and fan reactions dubbed "Beatlemania."
Trivia
Here's a little bit of info that you may not have known. Turns out the Beatles concert had a certain "aroma" that of urine to be exact. I guess those girls watching them perform were not only so excited that they could barely hear the band over their screaming but they also literally wet themselves in delight.
Next came their number 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, " I want to Hold Your Hand."
The song and their first 1964 appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show kick-started the British Invasion in America. Screaming fans continued to pursue the band on their International tour dates in 1964. The group also starred in the successful comedy "A Hard Day's Night" and released a popular soundtrack, "Can't Buy Me, Love." That year also saw the UK release of the number 1 album "Beatles For Sale" and the US release of the chart-topping record "Beatles 65".
The next year their second film "Help" and a number 1 soundtrack that featured the song "Yesterday" came out.
