This is our Rangpur heritage Tajhat zamindar house. We almost go around here. I will say something about this house today. As far as I know, I want to share it with everyone.the place was built by Mharaja Kumar Gopal Lal Roy in the beginning of the 20th century.it is believed that's from the conpicuous appearance of his Taj or jeweled crown, his estate derived the name of tajhat. From 1984to 1991 the palace was used as a Rangpur high court branch of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.in 1995 the place was declared as a protected monument by the Development of Archaeology.Recognizing its outstanding architectural value the Government of Bangladesh shifted the Rangpur Museam to the second floor of the palace in 2005.the main room at the top of the merbel stairs have a number of display cases which show 10th -11th century terracotta artifacts.there are a number of fine example of Sanskrit and Arabic manuscripts, including copies of the Mahabharat,Ramayan, and Quran whose provenance is attributed to none other than the Mughal Aurangeeb.the back rooms have several example of the black stone Hindu carving in its back rooms mainly of the Vishnu. There is a lot to give more information. I am not writing anything today. If you can do this till today, I request everyone to visit our traditional Rangpur Tajhat. All will be well, my family.....Allah Hafez.
