In order to get the most out of your water consumption, spread it out throughout the course of the day.
Apart from ensuring a well-functioning bodily system, water's primary role in weight loss is to fill you up and reduce your appetite. In my opinion, it's not a good idea to drink a lot of water before or right after eating.
By lessening the urge for food in your mind, you can also help yourself lose weight. A glass of water nearby helps me get my mind off of the habit of eating, as eating is also an established behavior for me.
