It's the most beautiful time of the year.
Even though many people say that 2020 has been the worst year, nothing can stop us from celebrating Christmas this year.
COVID-19, other natural calamities and prominent people has died this year. Many people has been infected and died due to this pandemic but it's still not enough to keep us from celebrating Jesus birth.
In a span of few months we now have new normal. Face masks, face shields, social distancing, alcohol or sanitizer has been the trend.
Lots of travel and other plans has been cancelled. People has to stay home even though many people wants to go out and enjoy. Celebrations and life has never been the same.
Many things has changed, but the reason for this season never changes.
Have you ever asked yourself why there are gifts, food prepared or why families gather during this time of the year?
John 3:16 New International Version
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
There are gifts because God has shown us a model when He gave His only begotten Son Jesus. He decided to give Jesus as a gift to all humanity do that we can be saved.
Isaiah 9:6 New International Version
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
There are foods prepared in order to celebrate Jesus' birth. This might not be the exact time or day when Jesus was born but we celebrate it because Jesus was born. He is the Messiah.
Matthew 1:21 New International Version
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Families are brought together because Christmas symbolizes families coming together celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
No matter what this year has brought upon us, Jesus is still the reason to celebrate this season. He was born to save His people from eternal death.
A baby was found in a manger where He was born. A king was born to save the lost.
This year might have been the worst for many of us, but God's faithfulness never changes.
We can still exchange gifts and feel the warmth of each other's arms. We are distance but never disconnected from each other.
As we prepare for our noche buena, I hope and I pray that we never forget whom we celebrate. We might not have been able to physically go to church but we can pray in one Spirit and celebrate Christ in our lives.
Play Christmas songs about Christ. Enjoy the reason for this season.
There'll be no Christmas without Christ.
Jesus is the reason for this season.
God bless you everyone!
