Here in bed, exhausted from the day that had gone by
Turned the wifi off to detoxify myself from social media
The notification sound makes me want to completely turn off my phone for good
Went out to the mall to buy a cake but ended buying gifts instead
Feeling lightheaded from the lack of sleep as I'm now officially a nocturnal person
I thought of buying a shoes but received it as free instead
It's a late gift but it's better late than never
The mall is packed up with people and pets alike
Saw a child complaining why their 3 cute pet dogs are brought at the mall
Then eventually walked here and there
Went home to eat, spend time with the family and celebrated a birthday
Washed the dishes and played with the kids just for a while
Then, the time to go home came
Our home is silent again, filled with just the adults, and three pets
The night has come but I'm wide awake
I, then decided to wrap the gifts bought from the mall
Loved to feel the Christmas, My first Christmas without you
I miss you dearly but I know that you're finally happy and joyful to be where you are right now
It's your first Christmas with God as well
