Online Shopping

With the pandemic still far from being over, people stuck at home and work from home setup has been the ideal work setup at the moment, many people are hooked into buying items online.

With just an internet connection, app, and account, everything is as easy as one to three. I'm not into buying expensive stuff and such but when given the opportunity, I also buy online using the account of either my brother or sister. I make sure to check the items on sale and have a cash on hand so when it's delivered, I wouldn't have to borrow money from my family.

There are lost of options to choose from and different ways on how a person can purchase an item. You can have it delivered at your doorstep via cash on delivery or paying for it online. There are also exciting vouchers and sale every month as well as midyear sales. Vouchers can be for free delivery or discount on a few items.

Let's be honest here and accept the fact that we are all excited when we have a parcel to arrive. Whenever I have an order, I always ask my siblings to get for me if ever the courier cannot deliver it right at our doorstep.

I've purchased items which aren't as good as it looked when it's online or with it's photos but there are also items which looked a lot prettier in person than what it looked like online.

I bought clothes and gifts for other people online, and I'm always excited whenever I knew that a parcel will arrive anytime soon after it was ordered.

Just now, the shirt I order from a famous brand in a legit store came and I couldn't be happier with it. It was a pink, plus size shirt since I liked wearing clothes with men's size. I loved borrowing clothes from my brothers since it's much comfortable to wear and I'm not into girly stuff not unless it's needed.

I also bought 3 pairs of pajamas which I also wear when working since I'm currently on a work from home setup. The clients wouldn't see me anyway and it's fine as long as we aren't asked to open our cameras.

I also bought a few toys such as jengga and uno cards which are a lot more convenient to play with my nieces and nephews. It's less screen time and more bonding time.

Even electronic items such as ring light, laptop fan, USB hub, mouse, silicon keypad cover, earphones, headset, mousepad, cellphone case and cellphones are bought online.

My oldest nephew graduated today but we gave him a cellphone which was on sale that time.

If there is someone who gets to buy something from online stores almost everyday, that would be my mom. She would have 3-5 orders arriving with one courier or there'll be a time when different couriers will come to our home to deliver different items ordered by her.

Recently, a set of cute transparent mugs were ordered by mom and now she's waiting for a different set of items which she purchased online. Be it Tupperware, food containers, kitchen utensils, clothes, socks, gift items, earrings and so much more. We have no problem about it as long as she doesn't have her own account.

We're worried that she might be ordering items which aren't reviewed and checked first. You see whenever my brother or sister orders something online, they make sure that it was from legit stores with good ratings and reviews so the money won't be wasted for items which aren't worth buying.

My brother loves buying clothes which are on sale and he always has voucher and money for it. He would just send me a screenshot of the items on sale and I'd just have to choose from those options.

We also have the habit of giving tips to the courier especially if the courrier bothered to take it to our doorstep. It's a difficult and risky job to do so we try to pay them back for their effort.

We also have this unspoken and unwritten rule at home not to purchase anything when we don't have money to pay for it. We practice the habit of not owing any amount from anyone, even if it's from a family member. It's a good habit that we are trying to do and maintain at the moment.

We are not rich but we at least have the ability to purchase items online using our own money. And we make sure that what we purchase are items which we can use not just for today but items which has the capacity to last long.
