You started as Strangers ➡️ Friends ➡️ Lovers ➡️ Strangers.

The cycle is on repeat when you commit on something or someone when you shouldn't have. Commit to something or someone when you're ready, not when you feel like it. Commit to something or someone when you can give what it deserves to receive, not when you want to gain from it. Commit to something or someone when you know with yourself that it's the right time, not when it's the pressure that pushes you. Commit to someone or something when you're whole, not when you're still broken and mending yourself. Commit when you know that no matter what happens, you will be there because that's what commitment is.

Commitment is not just a spur of moment or emotion. It is a daily decision. Never commit when you are not ready because you'll end up hurting yourself and the other. Never commit when you know that you haven't moved on, it's a sign of disrespect to the other. Never commit just because you want to, it does not justify the damage you're about to make. Never commit for the sake of acceptance, you will never be accepted after bruising the other.

When you're hurt, allow yourself to heal. Then, you can go and start commiting because you are ready. And this time, make sure that it's worth commiting to.
